Madison Green Country Club

About
With over 200 courses in Palm Beach County, architect John Sandford knew he would have to create something special to get attention. At Madison Green Country Club he did just that, creating a unique course that combines many of the best features from local courses, with a few surprises all its own.
Over a thousand palm trees line the course as do over 100 bunkers and 42 acres of shimmering lakes.
One very interesting aspect of the design is that not only does the course get longer as you move back in tees, but the shot angles also get increasingly challenging. This means that the good player not only has further to hit but must also place the ball more accurately on the fairway in order to set himself up for his next shot.
A young teen, his father, his mother and even his grandfather playing together from four different sets of tees will all experience a fair challenge for their respective games that still remains enjoyable!

Not Worth it!
Hadn't played course this year, but it hasn't been maintained. Lots of bare spots on every fairway, uneven and bumpy greens, and who knows what was in the bunkers - crusty, hard, and brown and surely isn't sand.
Overall the course is not in good condition
Course is not in good condition. The only acceptable condition are the tees off.
Slow play poor conditions
The front 9 took 2:45 to play. Call clubhouse and they said go to one no one there. Not true we then went to clubhouse and got a rain check. Not sure I will ever use. Course was wet, greens and tee boxes poor condition
Slowest round ever
Second time playing this course after seven years. Friendly staff, and extremely clean and inviting facility & proshop . The course has a difficult but strategic layout. Definitely playable with discipline. The greens I would give an overall 6.5 out of 10. A tad bit slow compared to other courses in the area with some bare spots. Fairways were patchy and tee boxes were just ok. I would still recommend the course, but I don’t feel the conditions was worth $100 that I spent.
Phoenix tower golf group
The course was an excellent place to play. The staff was wonderful and the course was challenging and fun to play. We definitely will be back to play there again.
Over 5 hours
5 hours and 15 minutes- way to much waiting at every tee box. No sign of any club rangers driving around trying to move things along. Greens need rolling.
Flash
The course is in very good condition. Greens with moderate speed and receptive. A lot of variability in the hole lengths and configurations. Several Target golf holes. Always a fun round of golf.
5 hour round
Start time was delayed by 20 minutes then painfully slow round. Waited on every shot. Took over 5 hours to complete round. Greens were ok. Rest of course in rough shape. Not rushing back.
Great experience for the price
I had a wonderful time playing this course for the first time. It’s a challenging course with varying degrees of difficulty on each hole. The greens were in good condition and the staff was very friendly. Make sure you have enough water if the day is warm.
What happened?
Let’s start with the good news; The layout of Madison Green is really really good. Except for perhaps #1 The course layout, depending on what do you play, is absolutely fantastic.
I played this course a lot 5-10 years ago, it was in pristine condition. I have not played it for the last four years and it was a huge disappointment to see how this course has deteriorated. All areas of the course (Including the waste areas) were In a really bad shape.
When I booked my round, I was a little bit surprised to see that it was one of the cheaper alternatives on golfnow.com. Unfortunately, the price was too much for this lovely course in its current condition.
Fun round!
First time going to a round solo but was teamed up with 3 lovely gents from Nebraska. The weather was great, conditions were awesome, greens were rolling well and the staff was fantastic.
Be Prepared
Played one time prior and was warned that this is a difficult golf course. It hasn’t softened with age . Trouble lurks everywhere(plenty of water and sand). Conditions were very good all around. Pace of play was a little slow due to difficulty of the course(don’t be ashamed to move up a box). All staff was exceptional. Definitely will return after the ego heals.
