Freedom Fairways

GolfNow Hot Deals had Freedom Fairways priced at $28.00 for 18 holes, mind you it's an Executive Course, so that's par 63 which not my idea of challenging but good for the all important short game unlike a par 72 championship course which should test all your skills.

My club fitter had my irons ready - TaylorMade 300 forged, Project X 6.5, 3* upright, 3/4 extension, four layers of tape under a set of red Golf Pride Tour Wraps and WINN VSN putter grip.

Playing from the gold tees, there were certainly a few very fun holes, longish par 3's all carry over water, no running anything up unless you putt down the cart path.

I was a 2:45 but got out at 2:30 as a single. I caught up to another single and asked if he wanted to play but he declined which was fine by me, but that assumes you'll let me pass and play on which he did. Very nice fellow, he waved me up on a 179 yard par 3 and I stuck one to just under ten feet, I think that intimidated him a bit.

Nine par threes and nine par fours, half of the par 4s were under 225 years, so I was rolling in birdies and had an eagle. The greens were super flat and easy although they needed to be cut down. The fairways were lush and green but I saw little time on them as the course played 3950 yards (approximately).

Very nice little facility for the golden years and fun for a young family as well with tennis and the dining area, good practice facility and a helpful staff.

Was down visiting family wanted to get a round in while the weather was 75*. Would definitely play it again. Pretty nice community they have going there

My Wife and I have been playing Freedom Fairways for almost 3 years now and it’s gone down since we first played there. The greens are hairy and slow and have burn marks on some of the greens. It’s a good course to practice your short game and I hope they put some love into bringing it back to how it used to be.

I always enjoy playing at Freedom Fairways. The greens could use some TLC. Sad that so many trees are gone. All in all enjoyable.

Shot par fist time out, a indication of the length on the app, that should be the daily price. I think under 30$ . Paid 39$ the next day high priced for a course like this 4 over for a couple of off shots played super slow

Imagine being fortunate enough to live on a golf course, but your soul existence is to watch other people play while you sit in your home, and call the office to complain about them.

Office staff was nice and apologetic. Stated they didn’t need a ranger on the course because they have 100’s of them looking at their windows every day.
