Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
About
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links is well known for being some of the best links-style golf in Orlando. It is home to three unique nines that all closely follow the traditions of classic Scottish links golf. A round of golf at Royal St. Cloud will make you feel as though you’ve been to the British Isles and back. The Red/White golf course has been improved to make it more player-friendly overall, but the classic links challenges are still there. The course features sod and wood-faced bunkers and there are very few trees on the course. Like on any links course, be prepared to use every club in your bag. Royal St. Cloud Golf Links is also home to a lighted driving range and short game area with practice bunkers for golfers to work on their short game.

Average Course
If you want to play value priced course when in the Orlando area, this is your place. Don't expect it to be as lush and have any top notch conditions or amenities (like wind shields on the carts), as you will find at other higher priced courses. I guess you get what you pay for!
Barker/Baker
Not sure why I was charged for donations and charged $6 as my friend booked and got no such charges
Legit course, great staff
There were a few blemishes here and there (in January), but overall this course exceeded expectations. It’s a high-traffic course, yet still in good shape. Greens weren’t silly-fast, but rolling well, and more importantly, rolling true. Very pleased, will be back at first opportunity. It plays a little longer than the numbers on the card b/c the whole place is “soft”, no roll-out. I played up on Silver tees (6,100yds) to join in w/ our group, and it was still as challenging as 6,500+ yds due to the soft landings. Greens were no different, but wicked pin placements, so throw darts if you dare. It worked out for me about half the time. Plenty of sand, but avoidable for me…my partner couldn’t stay out, whereas I couldn’t find my way IN to the sand…no bunker practice for me. Several legit pot bunkers, looking just like stone-lined bunkers at St. Andrews…diabolical but very cool!
Course with a links feel
Coming from Scotland the land of the links courses I was interested to see how the course was laid out and played. Not a true links course but the design and set up was very good. A good test of golf with very quick and difficult to read greens. Pace of play for the front 9 was good but it stalled in the back 9 with 3 groups on one par 3. Friendly staff and a very good welcome.
Nice links course
The course is well maintained, plenty open with good amount of challenge with water and lots of bunkers. Greens are very good, putt well, not too fast or slow.
Fairways and greens in great shape. Friendly staff would definitely play again.
Great. Course for the Money
Worth the trip. Course was in good condition. Staff was friendly.
Amazing Conditions
For those that know, Royal St Could is an absolute gem. It can't be a secret as it gets a ton of play yet the conditions are amazing - especially the greens. We played Blue/Red and the the greens on Blue were sweet but then we got to Red and they were flawless. These surfaces roll fast and are true. The facility has 3 nines - and you can stretch it out to over 7K if you like torture. We always see grounds crew out there working when we play early....I am not sure how they keep the course (especially the greens) this awesome when they get this much play...but they do and the price/value has to be some of the best anywhere.
If you want to find a knock (albeit a small one), the carts don't have windshields or covers for the clubs in the back. So if it rains, you will get wet. We see the regulars bring their own windshield plastic velcro covers and we may start to do the same. On the good side, the carts are gas and are fast!!
Also - the practice areas are good so get there early and enjoy the facilities.
Was very pleased with the course condition. Pace of play was slower than optimal. Restrooms on the course and in the restaurant and pro-shop were in poor condition. No water in some. Out of service toilets in several.
