Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Pace of play

Man, I'd really love to say that everything about this course was great. The layout and conditions are outstanding, the clubhouse serves a fantastic breakfast burrito and the staff was very friendly.

However, we teed off on the Champions course at 10:10 and didn't finish the front nine until 1:00 pm. Nearly 3 hours! It was enough to make us leave after 9 holes.

I'm sure I'll give this course another chance. There are too many positives to have one bad experience ruin it. I'm not sure what was going on today, but waiting at least 10 minutes on every hole makes golf nearly unplayable.

Fun in the Sun

The Morongo courses are great. It's a bit hot now that we are in July but if you start early its not to bad. I really like both tracks here. Fun, fair, with some good challenges. It is a bit out of the way but well worth the price.

Awesome course

For the price you can't beat it. Sweat thru some heat and humidity for an awesome round. Course is in great condition and good play. Green speed was listed as 10.5 but felt like should have been in the 7s. Definitely worth it.

This course is a great course and can’t wait to play it again, even if I have to drive 2 hrs to get there. The champions course has several unique hole layups that really make you think how you are going to play them, multiple risk/reward shots. The course is very well maintained and the staff helpful and courteous. The greens have been aerated a week prior and we where offered the other course if we wanted to. This was definetly the best deal I have gotten in Golf Now! Strongly recommend it.

Not that good

The course was wet bunkers had standing water, we were playing mud. The greens were very sandy with they would have let us know they had airiated the greens there was so much on the balls we did not put out most of the holes.

Nice Courses

Played both Legends and Champions in December and February. First time to Tukwet Canyon GC. My group likes to play early, so the first time there we had a frost delay (see photo). Once started, we were 2nd out and although very cold it was a fun round. Second visit, played Champions side. Overall I liked the Legends course better. I'm sure i'll be back. Nice place
