Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Fun Course to Play
Enjoyed a round at Duran Sunday afternoon. Got out on time as a single paired with a father and his 14 year old son. Course was in great shape and greens running at moderate speed. Great layout that doesn't penalize you too much on miss hits. Was amazed at the 14 year old playing from back tees was reaching the par 5's in two going for eagle every time. He hit most greens in regulation and getting inside 10 ft of pin on approach shots. At any rate it is one of the better courses in Brevard County.
Blown Away
Playing in the last foursome we completed our round in the fading light. During the round the wwind was 20 knots with gusts to25. Finishing not scoring low was my objective barely met.
Race to Dark
Barely finished round byefore light was gone. Greens were inconsistent. We were the last threesome on the course.
Weekend Golfer
This was my first time playing Duran and it did not disappoint. The course was in very good condition and the fairways were generous. Will say lots of water on every hole and placement is key to scoring well. I will say the front 9 kicked my rear but made up for it on the back end. I highly recommend this course and would say that GPS is the only thing missing.
Thumbs up
Duran offers you a challenging but fair round for your money. As mid handicappers, we played the blue tees which was a good fit at 6200 yds . ..choose wisely.
Very fair course
This is the third course we played in the area, and this was the best. The score card looks like there is water everywhere on every hole, but the fairways are generous and you can stay out of trouble with a little care. The course is very fair,.
Hot Deal
I will return as long as "Hot Deals" are available in GN.
Be advised, management is trying to place over 250 players per day.
Too Slow
Very nice track. A few bare spots on the greens. The bunkers had really nice playable sand. The only issue was a 4 hour 40 minute round. Waited on every shot. Great staff. They even put our clubs in the car.
First and last
Had a 2:00 tee time, someone needs take a look at their scheduling of times. Lots of waiting for every shot. 3 groups pretty much every hole. Only played 16 holes due to darkness.
Worst shape I’ve ever seen it
So sad to see how bad the greens, tees and fairways have gotten this spring and winter. They blame it on the winter weather but other courses have recovered better so they need to accept some blame. Such a great course, hopefully better next year
