Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Lack of staff
They were out of carts and 15 min late in getting our foursome out for our tee time. After listening to the cart guys and starter blame the earlier womens’ groups for the delay, I asked where was their ranger and was told they don’t have a ranger on Thursdays. Later was told they NEVER have a ranger. After getting started 15 min late, we then waited on every shot and were unable to golf holes 16-18 due to darkness. It took us almost 4.5 hours to play 15 holes. Very disappointing since I have always been told what a great course this is, and that we missed the most fun finishing holes. This is high season in Florida and a ranger to move slow play along would have eliminated most of this problem I am a high handicap golfer but the 3 men that I golfed with are all 12-15 handicaps
Slow play
To many players on this course. They way over book.
Great course
Course is in good condition, pace of play was good . Staff friendly and helpful. Great value!
Good value for money
Duran is always in pretty good shape. The greens are usually in great shape and usually a east wind to make track longer then yardage says. Not much trees and course is pretty much right in front of you. Not much elevation. Protection is greens and wind. Good value for winter time.
Good course... VERY SLOW PACE OF PLAY
This is one of the best courses in central Florida. However the pace of play is very slow. It took 2:50 to play 9 holes. Teed off at 1:56, made the turn at 4:45. That's ridiculous . I didn't get finish due to darkness got to hole 13 done. When I asked the clubhouse about the problem and asked for a credit, said there wasn't much they could do about it since it was through Golfnow and there was a women's league that teed up at 1:00 and was probably the caused the back up. I'm still disappointed about how it was handled by the proshop, could have at least gave some sort of voucher or at range ball credit, etc... Something...
Great features here
My son and I played this weekend. First time and really loved Duran. Beautiful pro shop, friendly staff, great range. The Course is beautiful with smooth, fast true rolling greens, lots of water in play and amazing design. We highly recommend and we will be back soon ! ⛳️
Enjoyable Golf ⛳️
My son and I played Duran today for the first time. We enjoyed the warm up on the range and number 1 hole nearby. Course was in great condition. Beautiful fairways and fast rolling greens that putt as true as you read them. Beautiful Pro Shop and Facilities over all. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and we will be back soon ! 👍👍
Great layout
Course was absolutely pristine. Some sick houses throughout. Solid views. Greens were more sloped than the Himalayas. Only complaint was there was a 5 some in front of us so we took 5.5 hours. Course was packed. Still gorgeous course but tough. Will return. If you suck bring lots of balls.
Incompetent staff
Every time I go here the staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful to the patrons. Won’t be back
Enforce rules
We arrived early ready to play No Starter , we had a 3 some they put 5 people with 3 carts in front of us an seemed as though only one or two of them could play as they were all over the course. At the turn we asked the guy’s we got the cart from what’s going on and could they help and there offer was to replay the front 9 but we had never played there and wanted to play all the hole’s. Worst of all we couldn’t finish 18 because they were so slow. Bummer for our first time playing here.
Best Course in the area.
Hands down the best course in the area even after the hurricane the course is in great shape.
