Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Dry conditions
Windy and dry conditions prevailed. One green, #12, is very patchy. The others were okay.
Favorite Florida Course
I first played this course in the fall of 2022. My favorite course that I have found in Florida.
I’ve played Bay Hill and TPC Sawgrass, and they’re both great especially given their fame.
But as for a course that anyone can play for a not outrageous price, this is my fav.
When I found myself in Melbourne again, I HAD to play Duran again, twice in 4 days.
Great layout, challenging you to drive it in the fairway, but get able.
Entire course is stressed right now due to lack of rain, but still very playable, and the greens are great.
Greens were beautiful.
Overall, the course is always in great shape. Greens were fast and true. Held shots into them. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only thing I didn't like were the bunkers. The shells and stones are not good for your clubs.
Wide fairways
Fairways are so wide one tends to loose the sight line once in a while fun course to play and not too difficult if you play from the proper tees
Championship Golf Course Through and Through
The course layout was amazing, each hole was beautiful. They had some of the most complex greens I’ve ever played that added a dynamic element to the short game. Overall 9.7/10. Can’t wait to play again!
Great course
Third time I’ve played I’ve enjoyed it all three times course is in great shape.
Best condition in the area.5 rounds in 6 days
The Duran was in the best shape over all compared to, Viera East, Baytree(disapointing for the hype) and Indian River. They all need water, badly. But the Duran is the only one we played twice in a week. 3/20/25 thru 3/25/25.Dont waste your money on Indian River, crabgrass eveywhere. Viera East and Baytree have potential once their grass comes in. All the course need another month and alot of water to be worth what they are charging.
Nice course
First time play on this course . Conditions were good, staff very helpful. The layout is good not overly challenging but bunkers and water come into play often.
