Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Duran Golf Club September 2024
Water option very limited on the front 9. Water fountain on hole 4(?) did not work. The water fountain was not even lebeled as inop. They give you water and ice on the first hole if you want it, but after that there was nothing until the turn.
A few of the greens had rough areas and bare spots. They need some attention.
The rain hurt.
Unfortunately, it absolutely poured rain 20 minutes before we teed off. This caused the course to play excessively long. However, certainly not the course's fault. The layout here is excellent. And esthetically a beautiful course. A few tee boxes could use a little work but most were very good. Undulating greens made this fun. Some sparse areas in fairways but not a lot. Stay out of the Bermuda rough, it's a bear. I look forward to playing this again after Florida dries out.
absolute bullocks for the price
Terrible for what there charging, worst greens even with multiple bunching done this year, inconstant course conditions on all surfaces. Go play sandridge for half the price and have 10x better greens. Tried giving this place another chance but it’s just a ripoff. Won’t be going back lmao pathetic.
Not Worth the Money
I played this course a couple years ago and it was my favorite course in Brevard county. I was so excited to get back out here and, boy, was I let down. Complete 180 in the conditions and maintenance of the course. Place used to be pristine and now it’s a pit. Overgrown tee boxes, fairways were like hitting out of the first cut, two foot weeds around all of the bunkers, burn marks and patches on all of the greens. And they still charge $75, with aerated greens (which were the least of our concerns). It’s a shame what happened to this once private-quality golf course. Very disappointed. Won’t be back here.
What happened to this Course?
Usually the crown jewel of Brevard County. Not so much anymore. We played two weeks after the course was punched. That was not an issue as the greens rolled perfectly. But some of the tee boxes were mostly dirt and almost all needed to be mowed badly. The fairways were in poor shape. Just shocking as this course is usually well worth the money. $50 at 130p. Definitely not worth it. Here’s to hoping things change back to the way the course used to be.
Aerated greens but they offset the cost
Great layout with a beautiful community surrounding the course. Make sure you have a straight driver because the fairways are tight with lots of water throughout.
First time
First time playing this course and we really liked it. Fairways and greens were nice . All the greens were nice except for one (on back nine I think) it had either weeds or a different type of grass green in patches . Overall greens rolled decently fast and true. Warning though , they will aerate the between Aug 12-16 . Some tee boxes had dirt on some spots , but that didn’t bother me much . Bunkers were good , semi fluffy and not shallow . Would definitely returns . The green fee was a little higher than most we play at , but the conditions were worth the extra $. Would return when the aeration grows back .
Not bad.
Nice track. A little less tidy than the last time I played here.. Nice chipping area. The sand trap had weeds and wasn’t racked. The practice putting area next to the first hole surface was under repair. The tee boxes weren’t perfect. The greens and fairways were good. One of the water machines on the course was broken. Overall they have good water. Lots of room off the tees. Enjoyable course. Staff is professional and friendly.
First time @ Duran
The course was in very good shape, all greens were in good to very good shape (except one, #15 I think). Great course for golfers with mid to upper handicaps. Fairways were pretty wide and forgiving. Had four tee boxes for you to pick from, for the "scratch" to high handicappers. I give the course 4.9 out of 5.0.
