About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

Mirror lakes
I went as a one ball and they put me right in the middle of four four balls in front and several four balls behind
Nightmare for a 6 handicap
playable course
price was right, travel time to course was la little issue
but would play again..
Hidden Gem
Please don't tell anyone about this Hidden gem! They delivered a cart to my car and met us at the end to clean our clubs etc. Greens were great!
Average
The tee's needed work, the rest of the course was great. The pro shop person was not friendly at all and making the turn the service in the bar was very slow and unprofessional. But the golfwas great
Mirror
Greens a little weedy. Sand traps need to be tilled. Like concrete. Overall a nice cousin for the money.
1/2 hour late starting
We were late teeing off and then had to wait at the 4th tee for 3 4somes to tee off on the par 3. We were only able to complete 16 holes before dark because they put too many golfers on the course.
A great day at Mirror Lakes
At this time of year in SW Florida prices for a round of golf are at their highest and sometimes you have to travel a bit to play at a reasonable price. Mirror Lakes is out there, only about 25 miles from my place in South Fort Myers, but really out in the country. I think I saw more "panther crossing" signs then "stop signs". The fairways were only in fair shape but the greens were some of the best I have played this year. The staff on the course were polite and helpful. The course was not crowded and pace of play was perfect. This foursome finished in four hours. The bunkers are well placed and make play challenging but could use some fresh sand, right now they contain very course and hard packed dirt. Overall we enjoyed playing the course.
no DIRT in bunkers
this course is well planned to make it interesting
water presents a challenge but if hit straight no problem because lots of room away from the water
Disappointing Day
The course was very backed up and we weren't allowed to tee off until almost a half hour beyond our tee time. In addition, the play was so backed up that at some holes we had to wait 10-15 min. to tee off and were waiting behind one or two groups who were also waiting. In talking to those groups waiting ahead of us, this seems to be a continual problem at this course, no matter what day you are playing. There really needs to be better course management in place or their customer base will go elsewhere. We can put up with the rough cart paths but it took almost 5 hours to play 14 holes. That is unacceptable!
what happens when you play the cheapest course around for the shape and condition it is in !! Come before 3, play the whole 18. And yet they keep coming back, hmmmmmmm
Terrible Pace of Play
I can honestly say that I experienced the worst pace of play of any golf course that I have played in Southwest Florida. Every hole had at least 3-4 foursomes backed up in front of us. Granted this was an afternoon tee time and the second hole was a par 3 but they were even pairing twosomes up so no excuse there. I overheard a ranger saying that this happens everyday. It seems to me that they are scheduling tee times to close together on a course thats playability does not allow for it. Played for four hours and got 11 holes in. Would not return.
I have to agree with the other comment. Pay $15 more and play mid afternoon, pace is great after 2:30 everywhere you arent finishing when the sun goes down at 6pm in February. Just do the math??
again, pay more than 20 before 3 and enjoy
Backed up
Went to the course on Wednesday and found the first tee running over an hour late - a fog delay and some scheduling mistakes. Did not wait around. Came back Thursday. Got off a little late. Round took a little over 4.5 hours. Wasn't a lot of special features on this course but the comparatively low greens fee is a plus. A decent layout if you just want to play golf without having to take out a loan.
poor time management
When we arrived we were told that our tee time was moved from 1:20 to 1:30. Not a big deal but when we checked in with the starter he informed us they were 1/2 hour behind and we would not get out till 2:00. We got off around 2:10. At 5:55 we had only completed 14 holes and quit due to darkness.
Good course but way over booked
Long back up at #2
Back ups at several other holes on front nine. I guess that they are trying to make up for some of the poor weather that we have been getting
I played that Friday too. We got off at 11:15 about 15 min late and finished at 3:20. 4.05 hours not bad they publish on 1st tee it takes 4.25 hours remember courses with 5 par 3's and 5 par 5's takes a little longer to play. Yes I would love to play in 3 hours though dont get me wrong??
mirror lake
The only problem was the pace of play.
Took 5 hours to play. Course was busy, but I think the
marshal should still move play.
Greens and fairways were good.
Sand traps need work
I would give the course a 3.5
2-15-16
Nice, breezy day. Arrived early, and got off a little early and played 18 in about 4 hours. Decent layout, but pretty wet in a number of areas. Overall course conditions were poor, but playable. Golf carts hard to drive; definitely need a tuneup. Clubhouse and facilities were municipal quality.
so stay at your private course
Super slow
Nice course but the pace of play was so slow that it was hard to enjoy the 9 holes we got to play before it got too dark to play on. Our 3:15pm tee time was fine, but at 6:15pm we were just putting on number 9. The course was stacked; three groups on each hole. Way over booked in my view and then the foursome in front of us just slowed to a crawl. Perhaps they just figured they'd play 9 holes and quit. I guess they forgot about the rest of us behind them. I'd like to play it again sometime when we could enjoy the game.
In early February the sun goes down at 5;15ish. After 2 pm the price is so low they publish everywhere even on this site that they only guarantee 9 holes so 9 holes in 2 hours isn't bad. At 6:15 I'm sure they have all the carts in and the entire facility is closed like all others?? I own a course nearby.
3:15 tee time and it gets dark at 5:15...hmmmm
Unfriendly Staff
I golfed at Mirror lakes roughly thirty times in 2015. Staff is somewhat friendly, however, the past two times i played at Mirror Lakes the Starter has been extremely rude and very unfriendly to customers. Ill find somewhere else to golf.
Very nice course
I booked this course with my wife with a 6:45a tee time , knowing we would be the first to tee off. All courses in this part of Florida get crowded, so being early is a bonus. As we arrived so early, it was still too dark to tee off. A 4some of "Regulars" arrived, and drove around us and decided they needed to tee off first. We let them go, and they teed off . The course has a lot of water, and bunches of sand traps. The greens were just dressed with sand, but overall they were very good and true. The course played long from the white tees. It appeared that most played from the gold tees. I would totally play Mirror lake golf course again. The course is in very good shape. We paid $30 for our round, but noticed rates went up quickly during the day. Well worth the price we paid.
Mirror Lakes
Public course, greens were playable but not in great shape. But there is nowhere else in SWFL I could play a round of golf for anywhere near the $27 paid here in January .
Mirror Lakes
The course was very wet and had to stay on cart paths which is no fault of the course. Crab grass on most greens but still putted ok. Will go back again.
When you tee off after 3pm of course you arent going to finish. We do the same thing you just cant beat the deal and get 14-16 holes in about 3 hours
probably paid 20 after 3, nobody does 18 when you makes 18 that late And oh, the 4th is a par 4,lol
