About
Panama Country Club is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway along the Gulf of Mexico. Donald Ross designed the golf course in 1927. Eight of the holes still reflect his original work. The fairways range in size from narrow to medium width and they are strategically routed through the natural features of the environment, not only preserving them but also allowing them to come into play. The course is mostly flat, making it pleasant to walk, but there are a few subtle contours that provide a challenging element to the layout. A number of holes also feature water hazards. The small greens play fast, indicative of the era in which they were built. Panama Country Club's greens are in consistently good condition year-round thanks to a 2005 resurfacing project.

Great course in great shape for a GREAT rate!
Loved the course. Challenging, yet friendly. Great rate for 18 with a cart. Would play again for sure.
The recently punched and sanded greens were a challenge.
The course is pretty, however, could use a little more attention. The cart paths are fairly non-existent, or in poor condition where they do have them.
It would also be nice to have a little more water on the course, it was very hot out there!!
No waiting
Fairways were in great shape. Tee boxes and greens still recovering from summer transition. Two temporary greens.
A Must-Play Course
This course doesn't seem to receive the attention that the Nicklaus course does but this is one solid golf course. The condition of the course was nothing more less than spectacular. The greens, orignal according to the staff, were very receptive to shots and putted true with good speed. There are some very interesting and challenging golf holes on this course.

needs work
i have played this course many times in the past . usually the course is in great shape. this time the greens were terrible. just about every green had bare spots and most of them were down to dirt.
This course needs a lot of attention.
The condition of the course is poor. The greens totally need to be replaced - there is no helping them.

Greens need work
Greens had been aerated & had numerous bare spots. Putted very fast, The fairways were good. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend course under normal conditions but greens definitely needed attention.
Course was in very good condition with very fast. Very challenging round of golf
The course is an old style course w many short par 4's with sharp doglegs and most the par three's are long with fast greens. Nice round of golf with beautiful views of the bay.
Good course for the price
Greens had just been sanded and had a couple bad spots. Average course in fair shape. Open fairways lots of doglegs. Decent challenge for an average golfer
Super Green!
Golf course was in great shape execpt a few spots on the outer parts on the green that they were re soddinfg. but the kept the hole well away from those areas and they were not problem. the super green grass reminded me of how agusta looks on tv. very impressive.
Very nice course
Golf course was in good condition. Played in the afternoon when there were not many people on the course so pace of play was excellent. Lots of doglegs which require working the ball off the tee or in my case mainly using less than driver.
A real pleasure to play. Not too hard; not too easy. Really nice condition!
In my opinion, the best maintained course in the PCB area for the cost of play. Beautiful greens and fairways, sandtraps well maintained, beautiful large pine trees bordering many holes, well placed water hazzards that penalized only the really bad shots. A really fun and enjoyable golf course!
