Panama Country Club
About
Panama Country Club is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway along the Gulf of Mexico. Donald Ross designed the golf course in 1927. Eight of the holes still reflect his original work. The fairways range in size from narrow to medium width and they are strategically routed through the natural features of the environment, not only preserving them but also allowing them to come into play. The course is mostly flat, making it pleasant to walk, but there are a few subtle contours that provide a challenging element to the layout. A number of holes also feature water hazards. The small greens play fast, indicative of the era in which they were built. Panama Country Club's greens are in consistently good condition year-round thanks to a 2005 resurfacing project.

Don’t waste your money
The course is in awful shape. Greens and fairways are terrible! No restroom facilities anywhere on the course except for a port a potty. Driving range (if you can call it that) consists of 5 carpet mats that leave a layer of dirt on your club with every shot. Do not waste your money going here. I feel sorry for the actual members!!!
Panama City Country club Golf Course
This Golf Course is still coming back from Hurricane Michael- they have done a ton of work to get this course back up and running! When it is finished it'll be super great again!!!! The staff is beyond nice and the workers are very respectful of the golfers!!!
Lot’s of work to do!
Incredible amounts of devastation and construction still in progress 18 months after Hurricane Michael devastated the course. Clubhouse nonexistent. Membership consideration nonexistent. I’m sure it’s an insurance fight issue. Just wish they could get on with the rebuild. Course is nothing like it was before the storm. Not surprising. Needs lots of attention.
Always liked this course but missing the tree lined fairways
I love the layout of this course but without the trees it makes for a very windy game. The course seems to be wet all the time. Hoping over time it gets back to what it was before the hurricane. They’re doing a lot of work on the course.
Greens Read True
Green speeds were slow, however they rolled true to the read.
Not worth it
The course is not what you see online. Trees are all gone. Makes for a crappy links course. No clubhouse, no food, no drinks. Paid almost 100 dollars for round, isn't worth 30
Panama Country Club. Feb 22 2020
Course suffered significant hurricane damage 3?? Years ago and has not fully recovered. As a result the whole course is very wide open. 5he course lacked what I would consider basic items. Readily visible yardage markers 100, 150, 200. No indication of flag position on the greens made approach shots challenging. All flags were identical.
Post hurricane golf
Despite all the trees being wiped out in hurricane Michael, the course has made a great come back. Awesome greens. Has a very desert feel
Nice round
Greens were slow with green dye fertilizer overall in good condition. Tee boxes fair. Fairways in pretty good shape. Clubhouse under repair operating out of trailer. Cute, friendly beverage cart girl with beverages/snacks. Did see several large number of carts together(4) but we did not run into them. Pace of play good. Trees are pretty much gone and when I drove up kind of looked like country airport..
1 star at best
the course was in terrible condition but had a 4 star rating. it was hit with hurricane over a year ago but has not been repaired to date and should be re-evaluated . it is poorly designed and in poor condition. i would not suggest it to anyone for now...it was a total disappointment and cost me 85 00 for my wife and i to play it
Will be a great course again!
Pretty sad to see all the hurricane devastation around this course. The price to golf here reflected that. We enjoyed the course and plan to play there again!
Better than expected!
Greens are hard but fair! They are new so not super receptive
Tees C+
fairways B
Played on a Sat aft in 3 1/2 hours
Off course areas rough, so
Don’t go there!
Good job getting the course back to life!
Only negative it is hard to get to from
PCB...., take the
Long route north on 79 then east and south!
Panama Country club
Course is still recovering from hurricane last year. Most of the trees are gone, sad, very flat open layout now. Staff let out a 5some, I will never play this course again, there is no place for 5somes on a busy golf course!!
Course is in good shape
They are doing a lot of work on the course. It’s getting better every time we go. It was extremely windy and there’s not as many trees to break the wind which made the game challenging.
Too bad about Michael
My wife and I played it today, would have really liked to have seen/played before Michael. On the plus side staff and beverage cart girl were great. We also got paired up with a couple of great guys.
Need work
I commend the maintenance staff for getting the course even playable after the storm. The greens roll good and fast. Definitely can't complain.
hurricane survivor
this course was savaged by hurricane winds but it is coming back. the greens are.nice and the fairways are good as well. no trees left in roughs. I enjoyed playing here and met some other golfers.
Vacation
Staying in Panama City Beach for the month of January. Played this course which was devastated during the hurricane 16 months ago. They lost 5000 trees. They are trying to rebound
