Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

Go elsewhere
Greens were in decent shape, but the rest of the course was awful. It was like hitting off of rock in the fairways. Cracks in the fairways. This course does not water enough. It was not worth the $50 I paid for it. Do not play here, look elsewhere.
Great Value- Great Conditions
Brian and the staff have worked so hard to make this a welcoming, fun golfing experience. Can’t wait to go back!
Okay for a quick 9.
Staff is awesome!
Okay for a quick 9 hole play. Wouldn’t play the full 18. Fairways are dry. Lot of holes and bunch of mosquitoes. In a pinch I might play but wouldn’t recommend for a weekend round of golf with buddies.
Disappointed
Different starter in morning than normal and very unprofessional, disrespectful. Course is very short and starter would not allow play from the back tees on n umber one and stated for safety reasons. Why put the tees out if not playable. Never an issue before. Starter for second nine was pleasant and courteous.
Great Cheap Course
This has a great view of the lake. I have never been on a course that had two brees for each hole. It was different but very fun.
Always a good day.
I have played this too many times to name and have never been disappointed. Fun course…
Quirky Course and I love it!
Great and quirky 9/18 hole course where each of the 9 holes have very large greens, two flags, and two tee boxes. Once you play the first 9 (The Reds), you then play The Golds. It gives you different looks at each fairway and green. It's great!
Pricing is perfect and rate of play is fast. The grounds are green and well maintained; especially considering the freeze and drought we've had this year (2022).
Short of a drink cart there's nothing I'd change about this place! Love it!
Friendly guys in the pro shop… that’s about where the enjoyment ends.
Starter gives everyone a whole long spiel before the round about having fun and it’s ok if you play the wrong hole, as long as you have fun. Oh ok, great. Sounds like a recipe for overlapping. And then the marshall came up to our group 3 times on the front 9 to remind us that we had to be in at the turn in 2 hours. Great… would be nice if we weren’t waiting on the groups in front of us on every shot since they were playing whichever green was closest and if they course didn’t send people out later than their actual tee times. Dumb layout no matter how much they try to tell people it plays as two different holes.
Want to play a 9-hole course in DFW? Go play Watters Creek executive course - A true 9-hole executive course. Want to play a full 18? Go play anywhere else but here.
Greens
This course would be a 10/10 par 3 if they didn’t have those artificial greens. You can easily get ball on greens on almost every hole from tee box but the second it hits it bounces 25 feet in the air so chipping it on isn’t an option and no matter how slow the ball is going it will roll off even if the greens are flat. The layout of the course and the beauty of it are 10/10 will never be back due to the artificial greens though if they can figure out how to fix that then I would play this course all the time.
