Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

Golf experience
Remodeled club house looks Great! Golf course was in great shape. Can not wait to try the the great food soon!!
This course is a great practice course
This course is a great practice course. It's only 9 holes but you play 18 holes of golf. If u mess up on the first nine you can recover doing the secon nine holes
Exposed and windy
Aptly named, course is fun but on short side. Apparently wind is usually a factor, but this day it was extreme(so pretend you're in IRELAND) !
Clubhouse being upgraded.
Comfertable coming back home.
I'm always amazed how beautiful this course is. After business trips to NewYork and Florida it was nice to get back to DFW. I found out Brandon had sold his golf course and very sad to hear that. Heard the new owner was building a resturant..great it is needed but hope you don't loose out on dedication to customers as Brandon did.
Great time as always. Beautiful shape. The new guy Dave (I think his name was could use some work) sat down the whole time helping me. threw the keys at me.
Will come back!
Slow Pace but enjoyable
Pace of play has been a challenge both times I have played this course would strongly recommend a morning tee time as opposed to an afternoon one. Few people will allow you to play through. It is brutal if you miss fairways due to lack of water over the winter making for a lot of hardpan fairways. I love the par 3's on the course though. Even though its' rough in spots it really is a good course and if they could get people to play quicker it would be even better.
Fair course for money
Not a bad course to play, no cart for alcohol , they allow walking cart here that slows down the pace.
Breezy Peninsula
On lake shore this course was windy. Interesting layout with two greens for each tee, but different green doesn't play very differently. In good but dormant condition, and greens fast downhill and downwind. We only played nine. Several good holes.
Good Value
If you are looking for a smaller course with value to get a round in, this is the spot.
Extremely slow pace of pay
Shared fairways make this course very very slow. The greens are too close together to differentiate between the groups playing. Overall, the course wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't good either. However, it's hard to be objective when it takes 5 and a half hours for regular golfers to play a round. Won't be going back.
Not your typical course
Staff is really friendly and will usually accomodate you with nearly any issue you may encounter. If you are looking to just show up to a course and jump on, this is the one that will do anything to squeeze you in. The course could use some help on the fairways and greens, but considering that they aren't well known throughout the DFW, they aren't bringing in enough revenue to really pour into the course. During the winter months, course is extremely dormant and hard. During the rest of the year, the staff does everything they can to make the course playable for all golfers. Yes, it is a 9 hole course, but it is set up for you to play from different tee boxes and play to different greens from the first 9 to the 2nd 9. Pace is usually good. Neighborhood and boating noise is really the only thing that you may encounter on this course. Mostly par 3s so you have to be accurate. On other par 4s and the par 5, you can't just swing wildly and try to bomb it out. You have to shoot for a target and set up your next shot. Give it a try with an open mind. You may actually enjoy it!
Challenging course
very unique, enables different levels of play...
long and short game, fast greens...
Views reminded me OREGON
Im sorry to say but you texas sure have no views on your expensive golfcourses. This golfcourse does! Great views, good conditions and the staff was very friendly. I was visiting my friends and this course hit the spot. Cheap beers but were was the TEXAS BBQ?
Good time.
Quick Play......
Pretty good 18-hole round. Nice members, great customer service, good condition, beautiful views, sub-par food, great beer prices and super value. This course remined me of a course from my home town in San Francisco off the bay. Thank you
Always good to come back!
I've been golfing here for about 5 years. MY home course is grapevine. I enjoy this courses difficulty, senic views and cusotmer service. MY freinds have a great time and we wish this place had a godd hamburger or something beside hotdogs. Great place to play 18-holes
Wow great hidden golf gem in The Colony
Lik I mentioned this is a hideen golf gem. The golf course is very challenging and in great shape. Greens some of the best around. The manager Brandon and his staff were very friendly and I can understand why the local members love this place. Just bring your game this course is tough.
We are coming back ! GREAT TIME
Please get a better food menu
(heard a new resturant coming)
RESIDENTS ARE OUT OF CONTROL
COURSE IS ONLY 9 HOLES, SO IT'S CROWDED ANYWAY, THEN RESIDENTS COME OUT OF BACK YARD AND CUT IN ON SAT AFTERNOON! RESULTED IN 2 GROUPS STACKING UP ON NEXT HOLE. HAVE A MARSHALL, DOESN'T DO MUCH MARSHALLING. MAKE IT WORSE, ONE RESIDENT WAS A "GIANTS FAN".
Glorified Nine Hole
I really wish I new the layout of this course before I paid $35 dollars to go play. Although every fairway has two pins all you really do here is play 9 holes twice.
If you only have time to play nine the course is a pretty decent challenge and has some great views along the lake.
My beef with this course is the pricing and location. It's way out there and for comparable pricing you can find closer 18 hole courses in the area. I played this course one time and will never go back just because I'm not a fan of the layout.
Any golf course open on Christmas is great.
Met the owner Brandon. Wow what a great story on this guy. Business owner and open on Christmas. Great time. Gave us free beer and snacks and the golf was great! This course has a great design. Short but more character than 90% of all golf courses in the metroplex. Food needs to be improved but we had a blast and will be back. Great value and the best senic holes.
Poor conditions
The course is definitely run down.
The greens are in ok shape, but the fairway was like concrete with little to no grass which makes challenging to get under the ball.
