Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

Beautiful Course
This is a gorgeous little course. All of the holes have either a lake view or a water hazard. It was in great condition and has some tricky holes. The pace of play was great on the front 9. After we made the turn there were two really slow foursomes in front of us. The course is designed as a 9 hole but has different greens and tee boxes for the second time around. Unfortunately this slows things down if there is a group playing the front (red) pins and the back (gold) pins. The greens are not far enough apart for the two groups to play simultaneously.
Great course in great condition
I really enjoyed this course and it is in excellent condition with pretty fast greens. It is challenging, but a very fun course rewarding smart shot selections. Although it is 9 holes, the separate tea boxes and double greens make it play like an 18 hole course. The scenery is beautiful and you have a view of the lake throughout the course.
Don't waste your time during their "scramble."
This course needs quite a bit of updates. The clubhouse is old and needs to be renovated. The staff is not that friendly, but you can't blame them because they probably hate working at this course. I was playing as a single and was told by the guy running the clubhouse that he may send a few groups through since it was their nightly "scramble." They have a sign up sheet on the counter for their scramble and there was only one team listed on it from what I could see. There was no one on the course or playing in front of me when I started playing and all was okay until I arrived to hole 5. I arrived to hole 5 and there was a foursome of geriatric hackers that were apparently a part of this scramble and did not have the common courtesy to let a SINGLE play through. I waited thinking that they surely know golf etiquette and would allow me to at least hit on with them and then play through. Nope. I had to skip the hole and drive to the next tee box. I noticed there were a few groups starting to stack up behind them. I had a twosome ask if those guys had let me play through because they were upset at their pace and didn't let them play through either. Apparently if you're in a Stewart Peninsula Golf Course "scramble," etiquette does not apply to you. There are no Marshalls and you can pretty much do what you want at this course. Don't plan on using their driving range unless you want to only hit up to an 8 iron. It's pretty much non-existent. What a waste of $20.00.
Not bad just below average
Simply put i have played here many times since its been built and its lost its charm.
The course is always my option when I need practice for the same rate as most golf courses driving range.
Course is short but in decent shape.
Staff has been filled with non-golfers who know nothing really about golf.
Menu has changed to burritos (i'd rate a 5 out of 10) but really...I was ok with the hotdogs.
Short golf course, great for practice (not for the serious golfer) just too many options out there to put into my top 10 list.
Love this golf now....will post more on my fav courses
This course is a good value
Must keep ball in fairway or your in trouble. There is a lot of water that comes into play.
Texas Gem
Great Course on the lake, I think the concept should be embraced by other courses, 9 hole layout with split greens, fast play, yet challenging
Staff friendly and new owners very nice
If they would make a simple cheeseburger and fresh bloody mary's i'd be a member
Miles
Hey reasonably nice course at a reasonable price with a beautiful setting by the lake pretty decent greens. I plan to be back.
Frozen soggy burritos and only 9-holes NOT GOOD !
I was excited to play the course until i noticed it was only 9-holes. It went down hill from there. The round was stopped by 2 sets of carts driven by 10 year olds racing across the #6 fairway. The burritos were not frozen and had to be heated up in the microwave. The burritos tasted bland and were very soggy. This place is not a good place to eat or play golf. Give them money at your own risk.
this course can't be beat for the price you pay!
This is the best course for the price and quality of the course.
Great Experience
An awesome layout and the different tee boxes and greens do make it feel like a true 18. The new management has got the course in excellent condition. Also, best value for food and beverages, and they make their own burritos from scratch which are to die for. Will definitely be going back out to play there!
Bad golf, Bad food and pushy owner (only 9-holes)
ONLY NINE HOLES! Over priced for an executive course. The beer selection was good but the burritos were the worst food I have had at a golf course. The new owner was very pushy to try his burritos and more pushy about our reaction.
Just not a good place for golf or food.
BTW was golfing with a member and they don't seem to like the owner's food or attittude either.
excellent staff
These guys are the nicest, most courteous around. They make sure you have a good time.
The course is the best 9-hole in the area by a country mile.
Pretty decent course for the money
I booked my tee time through my golf now app, which is pretty awesome but this review isn't about the app. This was my first time playing this course so I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. I wasn't expecting to play the same holes twice by any means but you play two different tee boxes and two different pins on the same 9 holes. The golf course it self was beautifully kept and when you're on the holes next to the lake, which is the majority of them, there's a nice breeze coming off of it. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about the course and the game and the facilities themselves are well kept. They have a very good beer selection, for those of you that enjoy a cold one while playing, but their food selection is lacking. Overall this was a very good golfing experience and I will definitely play this course again..
Confusing...
With all the tee boxes and shooting at different pins, it was a tad confusing. The yardage sticks in the fairways were also confusing due to the shared green system. I guess if you played here often, you would get used to it. The greens were in excellent shape.
ONLY 9-holes...2nd time failure
Tried this course again but big mistake. The course just is not fun. It's short, hard and really not fair. The dual 9-holes make it very hard to play quick round. The food was even worse. They push thier food like its the best in the world but it really is NOT good. I finally said ok to the hanburger/chili burrito. It was all ground up like paste and was very poor. It was over $5.
I will not be back just not fun!
Nick and quick
You will use every club! Great concept and nice quick greens.
Beautiful surrounding
The course can be great if maintained well. The biggest problem is we cannot find the ball on a good shot as the rough is really bad.
ONLY 9-holes and bad food
Only 9-holes ! They advertise 18-holes. I entered the clubhouse to a bunch of hello...ect. There was a big guy that forcefully had me try his new burrios and then wouldn't let me breath. How are they? The best huh! No they are over priced taco bell at over $5 they were very bad. The course was not in good shape and the speed of play was bad over 5 hour to play the nine twice. BEWARE. Dont come here for any enjoyment.
Excellent Course
Course was in excellent condition, very beautiful scenery. Greens where in great condition compared to most courses in the north texas area
steal for the price
Fun 9 hole course, make sure you understand that this is a 9 hole prior to booking, massive greens with two pins and two sets of tee boxes for each hole. Good shape given size of course and challenging. Typically no cart service greens are slow, but it good shape. Super friendly staff associated with new owner ship, limited practice facilities.

I actually like this course! You had to know that it was a dual nine course before going, right? What didn't you like about the burritos. I thought they were pretty good.
