The new sand is fantastic
Hit at least 6 green bunkers, but I was able to get out and land great shots. Nice CCGC, keep up the good work!
Needs to improve Marshall supervision
Excellent course very well maintain but they need to improve Marshall supervision. Players were not fair with other players. Wasting to much time looking for lost balls and were holding the game.
Coyote
Great.
Except no hot dogs or polish after 2 pm. Ridiculous. Starving. We would have spent at least another $30.00 . Only complaint. Courses are great.
8 holes in 2.5 hours
I attempted to play the Valley course with a 11:30 tee time. When booking online, the tee times before and after 11:30 were completely available, so I figured the course wouldn't be too busy.
At 11:25 I pulled up to the starter shack. The starter didn't seem to know the order of groups going out, and when driving up to the tee box, there were 3 groups stacked up and nobody knew the order. I ended up teeing off about 15 mins late. Through the first 7 holes I was waiting 10-15 mins before every shot. By the time I got to the 8th hole, it had been 2.5 hours, and there were now 4 groups stacked up on the 9th tee box. I was completely over it and just left.
So $46 for 8 holes and 2.5 hours sitting in a golf cart. Never saw a marshall on the course. The pace of play was completely unacceptable. 2.5 hours for 8 holes would have equaled 6 hours for the full 18.
Complete waste of my time and money. I will not be returning
Great price for a Great course
Coyote Creek is a great course and in good shape. The greens are the best in the area and we finished in under four hours.
Valley Course
The course has great greens. Tee boxes are just OK. The course is still trying to recover somewhat from the months of the drought. I am sure this course will be back to prime shape once the water is taken in from the past and upcoming rains.
New and revamped
First time to play this course since it has been reworked...Its in good condition, great course for mid to high handicappers.Somewhat easy and back and forth but it does have a few interesting holes.Greens roll true and fast and that is what would cause most of the extra strokes. The day we played was 43 degrees and the ball kept coming up slightly short so had to start hitting one club up,other then the cold it was a great day.
Good Conditions at Coyote Creek Valley Course
Tees, fairways, traps, and greens well maintained. Kudos to staff for very good effort. Weather was cold but spirits were warm!
Got a decent deal on golfnow
We got a good break on the cost thanks to golfnow.com. The pace was awful due to a morning frost. We gave up after 15 holes otherwise it would have been an 5+ hr round. Can't fault the course too much for that. But the starter was nowhere to be seen after telling us to check in again 15 mins after our tee time. No other golfers were waiting so we went out as a twosome. The low rating for the food is because the last three times we played, the grill has been closed during normal hours. We brought our own drinks and sandwiches this time. The carts have been iffy, too. The last round our GPS didn't work. This round our cart died but came back to life.
Great fun and not crowded!
First time to play Coyote Creek Valley course. We had a foursome and started at 10:45. Weather was good, cool and little wind. The group in front of us never checked in so we had nobody in front of us and a twosome behind us but they left us alone - no need to rush and no waiting!
Greens were in good shape, they have some character with undulations - not boring flat, sloping planes. We sampled a couple of bunkers and found them easy enough to get out of. We all rode - nobody tried the GolfBoards (maybe next time).
Our only complaint was the snack bar between 9 & 10 was out of hot dogs, Polish and other food.
All of us will definitely go back - planning to play again in 1-2 months
Coyote Creek Valley Course
Awesome sand and good greens. Pace of play was a little slow.
Coyote creek valley course
Golf early on a Tuesday morning. Jack Nicholas course in excellent condition greens were beautiful everything was clean. I would have rather not had all the maintenance people working on the course but if you want to nice course they have to work on it 24 seven . I would definitely play this course again all the cart paths were well written to establish your future whole .
wide open long
unfortunately for me my first experience playing here was extremely windy and unusually cold. the entire bay area was this way so I can't blame the course. I played from the whites (6500) and with the wind the course seemed extremely long.. I really enjoyed the greens when I could feel my hands. I definitely would like to try this course again. very well kept.
Enjoyable course in good condition
Played this course the day after rainstorm. Round was a bit windy but very enjoyable and course was in good condition. An excellent value for the price!
Nice Day
Played here for the first time, 12:15 tee time. Nobody was out here today which had 3 of us finish in 3 and a half hours. The course is well maintained with a few bad patches, but overall a nice time and they had a good special going.
Tournament vs Valley
The Valley course is a challenging w/ plenty of length and shot making demands. The Tournament Course, while a good course, gets a lot of mileage out of its designers name and offers less bang for the buck.
good challenging course
I've played this course in the past, before they switched the front and back 9 around, which doesn't make too much of a difference! I noticed some nice inprovements such as the bunkers have enough sand in them to make them more "playable", but if you are not in the fairway, even slightly off, the "rough" is thick, in fact, actually lost a ball in it! Even so, still an enjoyable round
Well taken care of course
I like this course and pace of play isn't too bad for a weekend. The thing my partners didn't like is you can't walk the course on the weekends. The reasoning being it slows up play.Ok, waited a bit on most holes for guys in carts and no one in front of them because no marshall on course that day.Walking would not have made a difference.
