Windy Course
The two courses are windy everyday but the day I played the wind was very heavy. New players to the course should realize that a northerly wind is a dominant play factor.
Coyote Creek Twilight Play
Coyote Creek Valley course is in very good condition considering the drought. The place of play was very good for teeing off at 3:25 pm. The first nine was fine then play stopped. There was a marshal on course but to no avail.
Valley Couse
We enjoyed our round on the Valley Course. The conditions were great and it was a beautiful day.
This was our 2nd round in 3 weeks on this course since it was reopened.
The new traps are great and the new arrangement of holes is interesting. Not sure about starting the round now from the #1 handicap hole though.
Definitely a nice course and you can get great deals on Gollfnow.com.
This course is great
It was a very enjoyable time for us especially for my brother came from Virginia. He loved the course and everything about it.
We definitely will come back and play again.
Thanks for a great job that you all did.
Sincerely,
Minh Nguyen.
Course is in excellent condition
The pace of play was terrible. There were 5 two domes following foursomes. The starter should omade 4 domes out of the two somed
Course is in excellent condition, playing FAST!
Lots of roll out on the fairways which make the course plays shorter. The greens are rolling real nice and fast. Roughs are challenging. All bunkers have great fluffy sand. Pace of play was great. Well it was a Monday morning round, I would hope the pace is good. All and all, I give the valley course an excellent rating. Would definitely be back.
Windy Saturday
Obviously anyone played here knows about the late afternoon winds coming down the valley.
Great condition and super staff made it a great Sunday afternoon
Long but doable
At over 6000 yards from the forward men's tees, several holes required a long iron or fairway metal to reach the greens. Wide open fairways were nice. Greens were very fast, but ran true.
False advertisement
Golf now advertises 18 holes. When you arrive at the course they tell you it is a twilite 9 holes and you have to pay another $15 for another 9 holes. The course is in no better shape then your typical muni course.
Coyote Creek - Valley Course
Great Day, played in beautiful weather and in just over 4 hours. The bunkers are in great shape since the recent remodel. Greens were rolling true.
Nice but overpriced
The course itself is in good condition. Some of the greens had a lot of pitch marks that hadn't been fixed but other than that it was in good shape.
Other than some forced carries to make the course fun, it is fairly open . Interactive GPS on carts is nice. We played late afternoon on a weekday and were experimenting with some new electronics so pace of play wasn't an issue.
Attitude of pro shop attendant was very poor and the price for a 4pm weekday twilight 9 hole round was too much in my opinion.
Great course, friendly staff
This course is in great shape, new bunkers were superb. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Food was excellent.
It was a great day for golf!
Renovation is complete. Changes are good.
Coyote Creek has been going through some changes lately. They are changing the structure of both the membership (semi-private to tournament couse and public to the valley course) and renovation of the bunkers of both golf courses . Both courses are good and they have been known more as the "player" courses because they are long, tough, and playing conditions are tough with wind usually 10-20 mph.
The changes of late are mainly to the bunkers to make the course easier and more playable. Before the bunkers were not getting much attention and were more like hardpan waste bunkers. Now the bunkers all have fresh sand and made quite a few of them are smaller. The changes are good and make the course better but layout is still the same.
Condition of the course is very good and probably in one of the best conditions I have seen. I have played dozens of rounds there over the years.
Facilities are very good and practice facilities are one the best in the area with the grass range and pitching green being a rare commodity.
Be ready for some wind 10-20 mph if playing in the afternoon.
Impeccable condition
Fairways beautiful, greens slick, bunkers heavenly. Can't say enough good things about the condition of the valley course right now. Will be visiting again really soon. Thank you to the grounds crews who are working tirelessly to keep the course in such beautiful condition. You guys are doing a fantastic job!
Coyote creek...
Not sure it's worth the drive from SF. It's not bad, but for 1.5 hrs drive, east bay has nicer courses
We were fortunate it wasn't windy on the day of play
Confidence Booster
NIce track with friendly fairways yet still very challenging
Great features
First but now not the last time I'll play here. Hit a great online rate and was very happy with course condition. Challenging layout but rewards good shots
Minor Renovations
First time playing after they re-did the course - seems all the work was changing size, location, and sand of traps. Only layout change I noticed was removal of #9 fairway waste area.
Still like the track, but the rack rates are ridiculous.
