Good Jack Nickalus designed courses.
There are 2 courses The Valley and The Tournament.
The Valley course is mostly flat and less challenging the The Tournament course which has some uphill and downhill holes.
Somewhat expensive compared to other courses but typically not crowded as a result. Can be windy in afternoons.
Simple but challenging layout
Nice layout, requires a control on your driver to avoid the fairway bunkers which can hinder your score, otherwise a straight firward course. Nice rolling greens.
Very nice!
I played here twice this week, both courses, enjoyed them both, the tournament course was the moderately more difficult of the two. Very good practice facilities, chipping areas, putting as well as sand. Carts had the latest GPS technology. Looking forward to playing again next time I'm out this way.
Great bang for your buck
Nice pace of play, only took 3 1/2 hours for a friend and I to complete 18 holes with a cart. $40 w/cart that has gps is a nice deal.
excellent course for the avg golfers;
This is a beautiful course and excellent by design for the avg golfers. Typically expensive for tee time unless there is a special deal offered.
Course was well-maintained; fairways wide open and greens were well-kept but was slower than anticipated.
4 out of 5 stars only because there was only 1 beverage cart available our entire Sunday afternoon round.
Good course, but sand traps were horrible.
The Coyote Valley course plays long and very challenging, especially when playing the white (6550 yard tees) this time of the year in the 20 to 30 mph wind, this makes many of the par 4 holes unreachable in regulation for the medium distance hitters.
The real problem was the really crummy condition of the sand traps. They are almost all wet (even late in the evening) contain dirt, rocks, and almost no sand. They play more like hitting out of soft hardpan. A golf course that charges this much money for golf should have pristine conditions for the entire course, not just the tee boxes, fairways & greens. Putting sand rakes into the trap's was a real joke, it was nearly impossible to rake anything but the huge glob of clay and rocks you just dislodged from the trap you hit out of.
The greens were in excellent shape, fast & smooth and if you can read them, putting very true.
Course was in great condition and the staff was very friendly. Excellent value for $40 (cart was included)!
I really like this course, excellent club house and practice facilities. The cool thing was, while on the 18th green a young man was cleaning our clubs, nice way to end our day! First time any course has done this, gave a small tip and thanked him for the special attention.
Good bargain, needs work
Pale imitation to tournament course. Sand traps need alot of work. Staff good. Practice facilities excellent.
Nice course, but skip the dining room!
Played early on a Saturday morning, golf shop and starter were very nice. Couse was in fine condition, although it looks like the previous days golfers did not know how to fix ball marks on the greens. Carts could have used seed/sand mixture to fix divots.
All in all, very good golf experience. but don't eat in the dining room.
This was my second trip to the dining room, First was horrible, slow, unfriendly wait staff, mediocre food, and 20 bucks each for lunch? My second trip was quick, we did not get greeted or seated, we chose a table near the bar that had not been cleaned yet, three other tables surrounding us were dirty. Sat there for 10 minutes, without seeing any wait staff and there was only 12 customers in the place. We left without eating and drove up the road to have lunch.
I will certainly golf at CC again, but wont even walk in the restaurant.
One of the best courses in the South Bay.
We played the Valley course. Staff were very friendly. The course was in excellent condition. Even in the morning the wind blows here, which makes club selection and picking you target a challenge. We enjoyed our round.
Fun course but windy
Had a good time on the Valley course. Fairways were generous for the most part and, in general, the course was well maintained. I played in the afternoon and there was a steady 15 mph NW wind that gusted much higher at times, making it difficult, of course, for club selection and picking targets. All in all, I will play there again.
Course always in good condition. The pace of play is pretty quick which I like.
Good value for your money. They don't pack them in like our courses in the bay area. Greens always in good condition.
Start time 3:00 pm, afternoon winds kicked up and it stay windy. Made the valley course harder.
Book your tee time early, but you have to pay more. It's better than dealing with the afternoon wind.
fun layout
course was in good shape greens were smooth and quick had to put a good read on puts fairways were in good shape and rough was extremely rough needed work on bunkers though
Great course at a good value
Fun course with good greens. Nice 4 hr pace and value.
Great practice facilities as well as two well kept 18-hole courses.
Friendly staff, great golf carts with GPS and two well maintained 18-hole championship courses. Get there early to take advantage of all of the practice facilities too.
great cource, very interesting lay out
we played back tee with wind, very chanllege for our level playing, some holes you have to hit to fairway, or lost in rough, very good overall experience.
Valley course rather mundane
Rather uninteresting layout, flat with firm fairways, greens were good. Tournament course is much nicer with elevation changes and forced carries and layups. Valley course doesn't come close.
It's about time
Finally this course made it to golfnow. I enjoy playing this course. But if I had to complain, it would be about the price of the practice balls. $15 for a large bucket? Ouch.
This course is minutes away and never that crowded so we can get done in under 4 hours, and that's walking.
