About
Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield, just outside of Hartford, is an Arnold Palmer Signature course. It is one of the toughest rounds in all of New England. The course sprawls across a beautiful landscape covered with natural wetlands and forests of towering maples, oaks, and elm trees. There are strategically placed bunkers in addition to the natural challenges but they are not excessive. The wetlands come into play on almost half of the holes at Gillette Ridge Golf Club. The approaches to the greens are seemingly intimidating but as long as you don't hit short there is always bailout area on one side. Since each hole presents a unique challenge, there is not just one signature hole, but one of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, a true risk-reward test that requires both length and accuracy.

Very nice
Very nice course. Nice layout. Nice range. Friendly staff. Cart girl only passed us once on nearly 90 degree day , that was the only downside.
Hands-down the BEST AROUND
Another great round. They do everything right - treat their regulars great. Great course, awesome staff. A+
At the "right" price.
Gillette Ridge is a tough but fun layout. The course was in great shape for thr most part. A few tees were scruffy, and the greens had way too many unrepaired pitch marks. I'll never understand why players won't repair their ball marks. Ignorance as an excuse, let's them off the hook. Entitlement is much more likely. It's unacceptable. It doesn't have to be the mark that your ball made, JUST FIX ONE, ANYONE!!!!! Anyway, that's not the fault of Gillette Ridge. At <$70 I reccomend the course.
Another great round at GR
A bit slower than previous rounds but still reasonable pace of play. Course is in GREAT SHAPE and staff is EXCELLENT (friendly and knowledgeable). Staff filling divots on par 5 approach area is a great touch/ makes a big difference.
Great in Every Way
Played another beautiful round at GR. 8 am on a Saturday and we played in 4 hours. The ranger is on his game! Great staff - pro shop, starter, ranger, concessions - great course, no notes, A+
