About
Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield, just outside of Hartford, is an Arnold Palmer Signature course. It is one of the toughest rounds in all of New England. The course sprawls across a beautiful landscape covered with natural wetlands and forests of towering maples, oaks, and elm trees. There are strategically placed bunkers in addition to the natural challenges but they are not excessive. The wetlands come into play on almost half of the holes at Gillette Ridge Golf Club. The approaches to the greens are seemingly intimidating but as long as you don't hit short there is always bailout area on one side. Since each hole presents a unique challenge, there is not just one signature hole, but one of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, a true risk-reward test that requires both length and accuracy.

Nice course, slow play
Course was nice and in good but not amazing condition. Range was mats only and the range balls were pretty poor for a $100 course. Staff was great. Pace was exceedingly slow (had to walk off after 5 hours on hole 16), even if it was fathers day.
Great Course
Tough course. The greens were in really good shape. Would definitely play again.
Not worth the hype
Heard great stuff about the course. Doesn’t compare to other highly rated courses in the area.

Really nice for good golfers.
I’m a 9.5 handicap. Course was really challenging and fun layout. Really get to use all your clubs from the blue tees. Only negative was really slow play. Will define play there a few times this year.

we enjoyed playing on Gillette Ridge. it was in great shape but a little challenging. many holes had a lay-up
before the green if you didn't know ahead of time would cost you.

needed. the course should give golfers a printout of the holes with a lay-up needed.
Good Course but not great I expected
We were expecting too much for this course.
But they were nice moderate course.
Their staffs were so nice and friendly.
We loved them anyway.
