Gillette Ridge

Have not played Gillette in over 10 years when it was in disrepair. Played Thursday, Oct. 14, play was extremely slow,

Had to wait on tees for groups ahead to tee off, wait until they cleared. We saw groups coming in on 11 and they all were saying the pace was slow.

We decided to also get rainchecks for 9.

Came back on Friday, 10/15, at 9:44, pace of play was better, but still had to wait on every shot,

Course was in good shape, fairways conditions were very good, traps saw a lot of water damage due to heavy rains prior, tees in great shape, other those hacks that don’t care.

Enjoyed the round! Shot 72 so course is in great shape!

Sand traps need major maintenace. Back nine greens need a little work from people not fixing ball marks. Overall, course is in good shape except for the sand traps, they need major work done.

This course went bankrupt a few years ago and now has outsourced management. Supreme Golf.

The course is in disrepair. Outsource companies are famous for cutting corners. The bunkers are horrid, the greens slow and worn, and the tee boxes are beat up.

In addition Supreme Golf offers a cheap membership for $44.99 per month. This attracts the masses and slows the pace of play to a crawl.

There are several public courses within a 10 minute drive that are better; Kenney, Stanley, Rockledge, and the Pete Dye designed Wintonburry.

Pace of play was horrific. 27 minutes to play 10th hole. Got to 11th and 8 people on tee.

4 woman who took 4 shots to clear me to drive . I just gave up. Worst pace I'd ever seen here after 20 rounds. Probably won't come back. Love the course and staff. But today was a joke...

Course was perfect except bunkers are all washed out had to play perfer lie in bunkers

I haven't played here in over 5 years because the course was in horrible shape last time I played. Additionally, my electric cart ran out of charge on the second hole! The greens were rolling nicely. today but still no sand in the bunkers, no divot repair mix, no ball washers. Probably won't return.

The course itself was in descent shape but the sand traps were in horrible shape., filled with ruts and little sand. I played this course earlier in the year and the fairways and traps were excellent. I believe the heavy rains we had this summer have contributed to the decline in conditions, but it would have take very little to at least rake out the traps to make them playable.

Always challenging and playing the hybrid tees adds to the enjoyment. My favorite course and I have to drive over 50 minutes to get there.

I first played the course about 7 years ago. The old front nine is now the back nine and the old back nine is now the front. I liked that change. I found holes 7 through 9 to be very difficult. I found some holes on the back nine to be moderately challenging. The greens were in very good shape. The only bad part of the course were the sand bunkers. They were completely washed out from a recent storm. They need some major attention. Overall, the course was fun to play. One needs to be accurate with tee and approach shots. The course is not very forgiving to those who occasionally spray the ball.

Bunkers in poor shape and no rain cover for your clubs on carts

You get to use all your clubs, long course and a great value for the buck.

The Bunkers were in horrible shape. You couldn't play out of them. Most had exposed rocks and it looked like someone drove a car through them.

Carts are a mess and outdated… rips in the seats.

The bunkers totally washed out. I normally love the course but kinda embarrassing this time around.
