11. Par-4, 433. A brute that takes no prisoners, and straight uphill from tee to green. Well, you can enjoy the fall scenery, anyway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

The twelfth, a downhill par-3 of 168, gives you a slight breather on a back nine that supplies little respite. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

Five is a short but strategic four-par of 333. Beautiful vistas abound on this course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The downhill 7th, a three-par of 255. Dye believed that long three-pars were the only holes to induce low-handicappers to hit long irons. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

Always a great experience
One of the nicest courses in the area. Always a great experience. Excellent food and drinks in the clubhouse as well.
One of my favorite courses in the area.
The course was is in great shape and as always challenging for all. The greens were receptive and rolled at a nice speed. As others have noted the GPS on the carts will not allow you too close to the greens or in the rough on the opposite side of the cart paths. This was a problem with one member of our group who had some mobility issues and even though we asked for the cart to be noted for handicap play (and they said it was) it shut the cart down as soon as you hit the rough. Be sure to try the restaurant as well. There were a lot of options to choose from and the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Great condition and views
Awesome course to play. Excellent condition and fun course. Only negative would be the gps carts that don't let you drive anywheres it seems. Better to walk this hilly course than to drive to be honest.
$105 tee time for cart path only
I am sorry I’ve loved this course but won’t be back for quite a while. Charging $105 when its cart path only is utterly ridiculous. This course is very nice but there are plenty better options available at that price.
Good conditions with skeeters
Course has drained well in fairway and in first cut of rough. Good thing the fairways are generous (wide) because the uncut areas are moist with lots of mosquitoes. Could not even stand in shaded fairway without being swarmed.
Except for the bugs, it was a nice day with very good course conditions and a good pace of play.
Golfing with friend
Greens fast and true. Condition great. Food very good staff friendly. Great course to take friend!
Very good conditions…need marshall
Many singles (members) on the course. At least one threesome played out of sequence. Fortunately two singles were willing to join us.
Need a knowledgeable Marshall on the course.
Poor conditions and overpriced
Ive been playing here for years and I’ve never seen the course in such poor shape. The greens were awful. Super bumpy. No true lines. The tee boxes are seriously lacking. Plus its $75 and ANOTHER $20 per person for a cart = $95. No chance. Go 30 mins north, pay $100 at The Ranch and get your $ worth. I wont be returning anytime soon.
Outstanding quality in CT
Starter is the best in the area, set the tone for a great round. Peaceful, excellent conditions, nice track. Wintonbury is a top notch, country club style course. Putts don’t break. Love the course, thanks
Fix the greens or lower the price
The greens are in horrible shape. I don't know what happened to them, if they were cut to short, or what, but they have not recovered since they were punched earlier this season. Hard and bumpy. For $75, you can absolutely find somewhere with better conditions.
The overall course conditions have gone down too. Dandelions, clover, weeds, etc. all over the place now. It was not like this 2 years ago. This was the nicest manicured course in the area and it has declined rapidly.
Give Pete Dye the respect he deserves. Fix the course.
Horrible Greens
We played the course on Mother’s Day so it wasn’t at all crowded.
That was the good part. The bad part was that the greens were horrible. I hit 7 greens and didn’t fix 1 ball mark. Plus the green airation marks made it difficult to putt.
Someone needs to figure this out soon or noone will play at the price.
Great Course but
The greens were very hard, big bounces on approach shots and couldn’t even find ball marks. This is very unusual for this course, greens could use more watering. Rest of course was in excellent shape!
