Westdale Hills Golf Course
About
Originally the “elite” Sotogrande Country Club, a fancy 1960s par 3 track that was the finest of its kind in Texas, Westdale Hills was given new life in the late 1990s after being run down and abandoned. Part of the Westdale Hills apartment complex, the course plays around a lake, with water coming into play on most holes if you’re really hacking it up. Only three holes force a carry of the water. A few bunkers allow you to work on your short game, and the well-kept Bermuda greens can get pretty quick depending on the time of year.
Getting there : From DFW Airport, take 183 to North Richland Hills and exit Central. Dead end at Pipeline and turn right. Drive about ½ mile to El Camino Real, and turn left into the apartment complex.

Thank Y’all
Just moved to Texas and was a little confused at first about the different courses but all the staff and other player were all extremely friendly and helpful! Will definitely be coming back very soon
No Frills but a great time.
Fun small par 3, challenging with water, trees and sand.
Not a fan of the person laying on a bunch in the middle of the course that was either homeless or on drugs but he didn’t act up. Course is in the center of an old, large apartment building.
Fun little course
I’ve seen this par 3 course on GolfNow for a while and finally got to give it a shot. The staff was super friendly and recommended I rent a push cart as the course has a fair amount of hills. The tee boxes were in pretty solid condition and I enjoyed the layout as some holes were actually a pretty tricky shot. The greens could have been better but didn’t prevent me from having a great time. They offer a replay for only $5. Would definitely recommend this course for anyone wanting to work on short game or just have a good time
It is what it is...
I enjoyed the course but the greens were the worst I have ever putted on. Easily adding 5-8 strokes to my round due to the lack of weed removal.
Great Course for Beginners Like Me
This course doesn’t have all the “bells and whistles” that other courses have. However, that’s what I like about it. Great place to play especially if you’re a novice golfer like me. Even though it’s just 9 holes, you still get the value for your money. Definitely recommend this course if you wanna work on your game!
Great Value; Surprisingly Challenging
A surprisingly challenging par 3 course to dial in your game. $15 for 9 holes, $5 to replay the 9 holes. The greens were a bit bumpy and the bunkers were poor, but otherwise conditions were great. Definitely would return.
Course and Staff Needs Improvement
First off, the parking is absolutely horrible at this golf course. You will be required to park in the apartment parking lot as there are hardly any signs indicating where check-in is located. The staff there only consisted of a male who didn’t seem too thrilled to assist me with check in or explain anything about the overall course. Please keep in mind there are NO GOLF CARTS. However, it can be viewed as unnecessary considering the fact that there’s only 9 holes on the course. Lastly, the course could definitely use some help in the aesthetics department. It looks very old and out dated.
Nice Par 3 Course
Greens could be a little quicker. Tee boxes didn’t have many flat spots. Felt like most tee shots were hook or slice lie. However, the layout is awesome and enjoyed the undulations of the course. Made the course challenging even though it was a par 3 course.
Great affordable par 3 course
I played 18 holes in 2.5 hours. Great pace for a walking course. Considering the price I was happily surprised at the condition.
