About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

Conditions were not as good as it usually is. The fairways were not in good shape and greens were slow and inconsistent. Member's playing behind us were rude from the start of the round.
The green fees were higher than last year and we’re overpriced for the value provided.
Played a comparable course the next day and paid $15 less for much better conditions (fairways and greens)

Friendly Staff
Some courses have staff that look down their noses at GolfNow users, but not here. I was treated like a member. The practice area is great with range, chipping green and putting green all close.
Course was in good winter shape. Greens are exceptional. Fairways are pretty open. Look forward to playing in spring.

always a great place to play
One of nicest kept courses in the north dfw area, the only issue we had was 7 carts in line on the first tee box, and extremely slow play all day.

Overall very good course. We played the West and North courses on a cold and drizzling day and still fairways, greens, and traps were all in good shape. Looking forward to playing again when the weather is nice.

Low handicap review
The initial drive up and clubhouse of Robson Ranch was very beautiful. Restaurants and proshop were accessible and nicely laid out.
The course-
Wildhorse has 27 holes and I played the north and south nines.
Course conditions early Jan were very good all considered and wind...oh the wind. This course is very links style as it meanders through new neighborhoods using the landscape to its advantage.
The course layout was exceptional, the greens were large are varied greatly from potential pin positions; meaning you could play the same course and be challenged differently many ways.
I played the back of the course and while very challenging the course was VERY fair with few tricks, just white sand guarded greens and risk reward carries that separate the men from the boys :)
The only con....it's in a retirement community 55 and older and that is not a bad thing, just dampened pace of play a bit. Also not really close to anything...
Overall easy 5 stars all considered for a public course and fantastic employee interaction kudos!
