About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

Great course - worth the drive!
Drove 45 mins for this course and not disappointed! Prestine conditions and fun layout with tee boxes for every skill set. Played from the blues and difficult enough due to the wind. Highly recommend and will drive again to try out the south course!
A Go to course
I play this course at least once a week. Course had been fertilized recently, but the greens ran pretty true. Fairways are good. Played in 3 & 1/2 hours. The folks in the pro shop are always super. If u get a chance to play it, try the new North course.

What a Gem!!!
Played this course for the first time Saturday and it was fantastic. It was in excellent shape with no complaints. The recent aeration didn’t even hurt. I would recommend this course to anyone

Great day on a great course
Second time playing so got to play the south 9 for the first time. Personally I think it’s my favorite of the three. Conditions were set up for a rough day...100 degrees, 30 mph wind, and aeration alert after the recent work. Despite all of that and it’s impact on my score....it was a real joy to play. Things will continue to improve with the north 9 which hopefully will lead to Allowing carts at 90 degrees. Can’t wait to play wild horse again in a few weeks.

This is a good course
Didn't know what to expect from a retirement community course. It's really nice. So well taken care of. Way more difficult then you would imagine from a course that seems so wide open. The high grass that is not playable and the placement of sand traps and occasional water created a course that is very challenging and still fun. Would have been better if we didn't have to wait on every hole but it was the weekend so we were happy to get on a course. We drove 50 minutes to play this course and would do it again. Thank you Wildhorse for a very challenging round on a beautiful course!

Perfect conditions!
The hot deal is the best bargain in the area. Make the drive. Totally worth it. Everything was in amazing shape. Greens, fairways, bunkers. Pace of play was a bit under 4 hrs and it was packed. Would play any day.

Slow Pace! Avoid on Weekends!
Super slow pace, will never play here on a Saturday morning again! Starter delayed my 2-some and pushed 4-some of local members ahead of us. We were stuck between 3 slow groups of 4 - took us 3.5 hours to play 9 holes. Quit after 10 holes. Save your money and play somewhere else.

Top notch course!
I’ve played this course many times. Probably 6 times a year. Last time was late May 2020. Of the courses I’ve played in DFW. Wild Horse is one of the best IF by best you mean great conditions all year round. Immaculate. Just immaculate. Challenging from the tips and fair. By far, a top 10 and must experience especially if you’re from out of town looking for a great place to play. I go the distance to play this course as often as I can (It is a bit out of the way). One thing tho... this is a retirement community and lots of people driving their own carts. But they play lightning fast especially when they’re behind you. You will love this course if you prefer quality over cost. Not one of the cheaper courses but we’ll worth the $$

I’ll be back...enjoyed the round
First time at Wildhorse - played west and north. Played alone due to wet conditions from previous night so pro shop gave me a players book...super helpful on the west as it came with advice for each hole in addition to the yardages. North only shows map and yardage...too new for tips I guess. Fairly open course and in great condition and not a bad drive coming from Flower Mound. Will definitely be back.

Finally made it to the North Course
Finally got a chance to try the new north course today and WOW was I impressed. The layout is unlike anything else you’ve seen in DFW. Very unique. Conditions were immaculate. Best value in the area. Always an enjoyable experience at Robson, and the new North Course is a must-try.

Great course
Course was in amazing shape the day after 5 in of rain. No standing water just played extremely long due to no roll out. Greens were in amazing shape rolled pure.

My reservation was lost
Confirmed on a Wednesday for Friday 1pm. We showed up to the course and the club house had no clue about our tee time. The Employee’s only solution was to call golf now and get my money back. After showing my displeasure they did Comp us some range balls. I stopped the starter to ask if they ever had a problem with golf now. We were able to join a single because of cancelation. When I called golf now the wait time was 3 hours!! The course players are all old wealth Very grumpy people. EVERYTHING is shut down because of covid. The water at the club house was completely empty. The range baskets were not collected and littered everywhere. No employee seemed to know about the kitchen hours.

Get out here ASAP
I venture out to West Denton about 2-3x a year. Today I got to play 27 holes at Robson. I started on the new 9 (North). It is wide open, very playable, great bunkers, and the greens were perfect. Nice addition to the 'old' 18. The South and West (the old 18), were also in perfect shape. Great greens, the tee boxes are better than some courses greens right now, and the fairways were lush. Honestly, I wish they had some rough, but this is a semi-private course, so I understand the need for playability above all else. Get out here to play while you can and the conditions are A++. The only minor drawback was they had raised cups - you could not 'make' a putt. Odd that they do it here and nowhere else... but it was still a great day and met quite a few cool folks.

Love this facility
27 holes of great golf. Generous fairways but can still be a challenge. On course staff/ambassadors could use a little hospitality training but I do love this place and will continue to go back

Rushed
Guys that live on the course rushed our entire round. Hit into us on two separate holes. At the end of a 3:39 min round told us that they play in 2.5 hours and we needed to stay out of the way. Not a good experience I’ll take my money elsewhere.
