Wildhorse Golf Club of Robson Ranch - South/West Course

I really enjoy this course. It's a somewhat challenging course, but not too difficult. It's a open course, not a lot of trees, but out of bound areas are thick and brushy.

This is, after having played a round of golf for each of the past 20 years, the hardest conditions I've ever found. The winds were so strong they knocked our clubs over - AS WE WERE ON THE DRIVING RANGE!!! On back nine I had 106 yards to pin, had to pull out a 9-iron and, after a respectable hit, found my ball still 20 yards from the green. Course is great; weather was not!

Consistent green condition but most difficult to putt.

First time playing this course. Got a good deal on GolfNow. Pro shop staff was friendly. Starter was a funny guy. Tried to make us feel at home. Course was in good shape. Tee boxes clean, fairways plush, and greens were in decent shape. There were several small holes on the greens as if a few people we wearing metal spikes. I lost a couple balls in the rough behind the greens. It was thick, I needed a spotter. Overall a good experience and I'll definitely go back.2

From the beginning, dealing with the staff in pro shop until I got in my car, this course is a class act. Pro shop staff, restaurant staff all friendly and nice. The course was over seeded, so tee boxes, fairways and greens were all green. The greens were nice and rolled true, but very tricky. The only down side was the driving range was closed for maintenance, but other then that it is a 5 star course.

One of the best courses just outside the DFW area, but well worth the drive. There is obviously some construction on-going which can be distracting at times, but the course itself is in excellent shape. It is not a hard course but it does require you to place the ball strategically in order to take advantage. Normally I would give a 5 star since I play here at least 3-4 times per year, but this day some of the greens were sanded so judgement of speed was a little challenging from one green to the next.

Top notch course with immaculate condition. 4 star rating due to being two single handicap golfers playing a 4:15 round because we got behind a group of old foursomes who has no business playing from the blues. Guess they had a money game going and was putting everything out. We were on them from the 2nd hole, NOT letting us play through. Apparently one of the golfer is the president of the golf association there so his poop doesn't stink. Talk about bad golf etiquette. TSK TSK.

If you are not a member there, don't expect a friendly wave from the old folks there, not all but most..... Just FYI

Nice course for the value, and they've got marshals out there to push the pace, which is nice. They'd caught some recent rains, so I was told the conditions were nicer than usual for mid-July. Bunkers are incredible, I've never played out of sand like that.

Course is very good for the price. Excellent bunkers. Rough is VERY deep and you can lose your ball in it. In most cases you need to wedge back to fairway.

Pace of play was a problem thanks to the local homeowners. The foursome and fivesome behind us pushed us all day. They each had their own cart. Nine carts in two groups. We were two to a cart.

Excellent course and the pro shop was very helpful! Will play again!!

Fantastic afternoon of golf!

Friendly staff great layout, beautiful clubhouse with great scenery and exceptional food!

Grass in every location was carpet. The tee boxes, fairways and the greens all in great shape. Greens held long irons and backed up the short irons. Course has sand in the traps, not dirt. It was a pleasure splashing out out of them.

Well worth the money and the drive!

Absolute brilliant golf course!

I had a very smooth round & was extremely pleased with course conditions. This may be one of my FAVORITE golf courses in the state of Texas.

It was so hot nearing 100*, but my satisfaction of the course & amenities overcame that.

Good course but the greens were punched and sanded when we played. But we know that that is necessary to keep a course in good shape. Had fun!
