Wilderness Golf Course

Thanks for staying open during the pandemic. Great job of social distancing by the employee's. Nice to get away from Houston for A-day. Will definitely return as the course was beautiful.

Short review

Course made safe as possible. No sharing cart!!!

All carts clean after each round. No contact with staff.

Cups reduce to about 1-1/2 “ in depth. No water on course, so bring your own drink and food. Be nice to the cart girls

Now the course, great shape and will get better!

Love this course, an hour away but always fun and challenging.

This is a fantastic course that was ruined because the greens Had been punched and the ball bounces all over and off line.

I will be back, but maybe in a month.

Course is very enjoyable with a nice mix of friendly and challenging. Conditions for time of year were very solid with greens rolling well despite being punched. The varying undulations and layouts of the greens made for some difficult putting but added character. Only minor complaints would be the wet sand in most of the greenside bunkers. Would definitely come back.

Can’t wait to play the course when wind isn’t blowing 20to 35 knots. Great layout.

Such a great conditioned course from tee box to green. Worth the drive to play here. Will only get better when spring comes around.

One of the best tracts around the area. Always in great condition. Played pretty fast for a 4 some, about 3 1/2 hrs. Lots of singles out on Sunday afternoon it seems so they were probably frustrated. Staff is very courteous and friendly.

Always enjoy playing this course. Extremely friendly and good burger. Great course and only one hour from house near Meyerland. Easy drive going and return in the evening.

This is unusable, they allow my small pet to ride alone. Pet stayed in the cart and made no noise.

Don’t brink pet if you don’t keep on leash!!!!

I don’t get down to play the wilderness very often, but once again it’s proven to be well worth the wait.

Staff: as always, small town friendliness with a professional demeanor. Knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely nice people. To include the maintenance guys on the mowers. Talked to a couple of them and they were all nice guys.

Range/chipping area/practice green: I could spend all day just practicing here. Doesn’t get crowded and is not only in top shape but is almost an exact replica of the conditions you’ll find on the course.

Pace: I teed off at 9:00 on a Tuesday. Didn’t see another soul until #14.

The course: finally, the course. As usual it is in excellent shape. From tee to green you couldn’t ask for better conditions. The layout is challenging, but rewards well hit shots. The greens were in excellent shape and even with a little moisture on the ground, they rolled fairly fast.

This course points out your flaws immediately, yet rewards well struck balls. I wish I could give it six stars.

This course is in pristine shape. I played after it raining overnight, and the course was still immaculate. Greens rolled fast even with all the rain.

My only complaint is that the course is in Lake Jackson, if it was closer I'd play it weekly. Instead it's just monthly :).

We enjoy playing this course. It is kept in good shape and is very challenging.
