About
Sculpted by Greg Norman out of the tall grassland prairies and rice fields west of Houston, Meadowbrook Farms is part of a planned 800-acre residential development headed by Landmark National. Norman's layout includes deep-faced sod bunkers, Lil Prong Creek, and a multitude of oaks, pecans, and sycamores that take the golfer toward greens that are extremely hard.
The lack of parallel holes allows for an open, natural setting that is perfect for golf, especially since Norman didn't favor much reshaping-instead, he used the natural topography of the former rice farm.
Holes of note on the front are the 160-yard No. 6 and the 420-yard No. 9, both accented by the tall native grasses. No. 9 involves wetlands in front of the green, which is tough considering the longish approach.
Several holes on the back can destroy your round, including the narrow, doglegging 395-yard No. 10. It's imperative to find the fairway on this one. And No. 15 is short (340 yards), but is loaded with bunkers that are difficult for the high-handicapped hack.
The best hole of the bunch is perhaps No. 18, a 545-yarder that involves a layup of a canal off the tee and two solid shots to reach the green in regulation.
All told, this one is worth the investment. The bag drop service is friendly and prompt, and the clubhouse offers affordable amenities, including a great little bar and grill.
Getting there : From Downtown Houston on I-10, drive west to Grand Parkway (Hwy. 99). Take Grand Parkway south to Fry Rd., then turn right. Take Fry Rd. west for approximately 1.3 miles, and the entrance is on the left.

Wonderful Golf Outing
Wonderful Golf Outing!
The temperature was in the mid 50's
Very surreal experience since I had the entire golf course to myself.
Playing by myself and taking my time, 18 holes took less than 3 hours.
I thought I had died and gone to heaven, but the reality of my golf game brought me back to reality..
The Staff were very friendly and accomodating as usual.

Almost Perfect Day
I say "Almost Perfect" day because the weather was perfect but too many 3 putts haha. But I was outside playing golf on a beautiful day on a course that was in great condition. Just need to get my game to match. No negatives about the course though. It is the best I have seen it since last Spring.
The course is back
After months of bad greens I can say this course is fully back and in excellent shape.
This is always a great layout and a tough challenge. The team should be really happy with how the greens have recovered. Rolling true and a pleasure to look at. A few minor issues persist on the first and second greens with weeds but overall great pleasure to see the course closer to it’s expected condition. Bunkers still need work

Hole locations are challenging
In some holes, flags are located much close to the edge, which are challenging.
Ok other courses offer more bang for the buck
Course is over priced , compared to other courses in the area. My main complaint is we made the turn and they stuck a foursome in front of us. Reason being was some members (an 8 some ) were teeing it up on 1. The staff only made it better (free round of beer) after they noticed we were not happy. Bartender and cart lady were top notch.

Okay but not worth the money.
Played during the week. Quickly caught up to a foursome ahead of me but they were nice enough to let me play through which was good bc i never saw the marshall after the first hole. Course had some fun and challenging holes but if you miss the fairway your ball is gone. The course is priced similar to cinco, 45 for a weekeday and i would play cinco instead any day. The fairways were in good shape however 15 of 18 greens were covered in sand and i got bit twice by ants. Only 3 greens had a minimal amount of sand and only hole 18 was a true green. Very annoying and disappointing.
Good For The Right Price
Enjoyable round. Course in good shape for the most part. Couple tee boxes and greens need work still. With recent heavy rains, course seemed to drain well - no still water. Solid pace of play even behind a 3some. Bugs were not bad at all.
Starter and beverage cart lady were excellent and the marshall was semi frequent but pleasant.
I would play this course again but at an available lower rate.
Worth the money
For the money, this is a great course. I’ve spent 80 on a round and felt like I didn’t get the experience I should have. This course is not the case. Course is interesting and well maintained. Worth it.
Overall great
Great course overall. Beautiful and fun layout. A couple downsides were that greens were not as smooth as I wished and there many bugs (I had to leave early due to the bugs).
