Good course with EXCELLENT GREENS.
You will have fun.
Construction going on but off the course. Did not bother us. I would rather see construction than houses.
Course is not ready to play
The course conditions were average and greens need some time to get better.
Significant house construction going on, especially on back nine.
Pro Shop is currently in a trailer of sorts.
Food service was minimal.
Pace of play was good as holes are wide open and marshal was active.
Green fee was too high for what was available.
Wait 5 years, and then try this course.
It’s Season!
This time of year in SW Florida all courses are packed and overplayed. Valencia was in good shape for the amount of play it gets this time of year. Two rangers roamed the course to insure pace of play was 4hrs. We love the course layout too.
It's OK
The course itself was in decent shape. The back nine is surrounded by construction. It didn't directly impact the course, but it distracting and unpleasant. The course is not overly long. There are several fairways with narrow landing areas. the surrounding roughs are not maintained well. This is one of, if not the least expensive public course around. But from where I am from, we expect a lot more for $135. greens fees.
Morning rain with good recovery
Rained in the morning which made conditions soggy. The course was accommodating earlier groups, which pushed us about an hour back to 1:30. Despite having to wait, I appreciated the club trying to get those with tee times on the course.
Everything dried pretty well and pace was as expected with the backup. Open course, very player friendly.
Starter did a nice job in spite of the conditions.
Good course, but spring monthly price increase is too much
Love the golf course and the staff running…well organized. Played early so pace of play was real good.
Not pleased that Feb 1 the price rises to $159. Will not play it for that price. Too bad, as I would have booked 1/week at the $135 or lower rate
Cow Pasture
The managers of Valencia should be ashamed of their selves to call Valencia a Country. This was the worst course I've played in Naples, Florida, EVER. The course layout was good, but the conditions were the worst. This course is at best a $65.00/18. We'll never return.
Slow play
Front nine was super slow as we waited every hole. Finally saw a ranger after our last hole on nine and he barked at us to pick up our pace.. There was a different ranger on the back nine who did his job as we saw him five times. The pace of play picked up dramatically..
