Sienna Plantation Golf Club
About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Horrendous Pace of Play
Our Tee time was 10:08. We were at the first tee by 10am and we’re waiting behind 4 groups to tee off. We were a group of 3 who went off after a group of 5 and didn’t tee off until 10:25. The Pace of play was one of the worse I have seen we did not finish until 4pm. There were no Marshall’s out supporting pace or checking in. Just a lack of organization and planning. It is very tough to find a rhythm when you are waiting 10-15 minutes on every tee box. Most holes there there 4 groups on each hole… 2 groups on the box, 1 in the fairway and 1 on the green. Completely unacceptable and disappointing
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
Could Be In Better Shape
The course could be in better shape, but considering the weather this summer and recent weather, the elements were against it. The course itself has lots of relatively straight fairways. The holes seem to range from straight forward to very difficult, with not much in between.
The Man
The course is in the same shape it is usually in. The first four or five greens are still in bad condition. I live by the course and it is a good layout, but because who owns and operates the course it will never live up to expectations or what it could be.
Hi! Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. Please know the current conditions are by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We will continue to work towards a 5-star experience and we hope to see you back!
GLORY DAYS GONE
The clubhouse and men’s locker room-restroom are disgusting. It’s worse than a muni-course. This place used to be great.

sienna
better shape than usual except for a few really damaged greens. the cart key was a bad set up, very large key tag that constantly banged up against the cart when the wind was blowing, all day wind. that was very annoying. all 4 of my playing partners were constantly having to hold the key tag during shots.

Great mid level course
Overall great course, first time playing there, and it had some difficult holes. There was only one hole where the green was very patchy, besides, that greens were pretty smooth and fast. First time flying, and would return.
Great and Challenging Course
Course looked amazing while playing. On the longer side when it comes to hole ranges but still fun to play. Multiple changes in elevations which also make the course a little more difficult. Would love to play again.
Greens need work.
We like playing Sienna. But the greens need work. The pockmarks look like the greens, though playable, have been bombed.
Front 9 are great, back 9 not so much.
The entire front 9 were great, but as we got further through 18, it started to show that maintenance on the back set was not as prioritized. Fairway and greens were pretty banged up, leading to some less than desirable strokes. Regardless, course is nice and cost isn’t horrible. Would play again, but I’m not raving to go back.
Great Golf Outing
Played the day before Thanksgiving. Had a 10am tee time and the amount of players on the course was perfect. Pace of play was quick. The front nine played easier than the more difficult back nine. For the money, this was a great course for us to play.

Greens looked like mars
Not even worth putting ball bounced all over. I have played cheaper courses with better Greens.

Inconsiderate players
So we’ve played here a number of times and seen the course in various conditions sometimes good sometimes not so good. We’ve been through them losing their liquor license and having no alcoholic beverages available. But the staff have always been friendly and considerate and the pace of play has been decent. Until today, my buddy and I tee’d off at 1:30 and caught up to a single walking. He was considerate and allowed us to play through. Then we caught up to a threesome that had one player trying to instruct the other. They wouldn’t let us play through and no Marshall in sight. The back nine was brutally slow and we decided to skip a hole and play through this way. However the next tee box had a sixsome, and they didn’t seem to care. We asked one of the guys how they could justify playing as a large group , he just shrugged his shoulders. So we thought that they were slowing everyone down. So, we skipped the hole and went to the next tee box only to come upon another sixsome. One threesome teeing off from the white tee box the other threesome teeing off from the senior tees. There was one guy with no clubs that we thought was a Marshall and we asked him how he could allow a sixsome to play. He just said “what sixsome?” So at this point we just called it a day. Needless to say we won’t be returning here anytime soon. I was especially disappointed in that the mature group of guys knew that this was inappropriate golf etiquette but didn’t seem to care. Nope never again. .
