About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Inconsiderate players
So we’ve played here a number of times and seen the course in various conditions sometimes good sometimes not so good. We’ve been through them losing their liquor license and having no alcoholic beverages available. But the staff have always been friendly and considerate and the pace of play has been decent. Until today, my buddy and I tee’d off at 1:30 and caught up to a single walking. He was considerate and allowed us to play through. Then we caught up to a threesome that had one player trying to instruct the other. They wouldn’t let us play through and no Marshall in sight. The back nine was brutally slow and we decided to skip a hole and play through this way. However the next tee box had a sixsome, and they didn’t seem to care. We asked one of the guys how they could justify playing as a large group , he just shrugged his shoulders. So we thought that they were slowing everyone down. So, we skipped the hole and went to the next tee box only to come upon another sixsome. One threesome teeing off from the white tee box the other threesome teeing off from the senior tees. There was one guy with no clubs that we thought was a Marshall and we asked him how he could allow a sixsome to play. He just said “what sixsome?” So at this point we just called it a day. Needless to say we won’t be returning here anytime soon. I was especially disappointed in that the mature group of guys knew that this was inappropriate golf etiquette but didn’t seem to care. Nope never again. .
Disappointed
I’ve never seen the greens on this course as bad as they were when I played last Tuesday
Average public course
Greens hit or miss, one looked like it was carpet bombed by pitch marks or something, could barely putt it. Hole 18 is interesting design along with some of the long par 3’s. Elevated greens and tight. Fairways on some holes. Great design, poorly kept .

I’d like to see more attention to details when it comes to course maintenance …
Just seem to be a bit sad looking when it came to lawn and landscaping maintenance. …
I know I it rained prior to my visit but I look at all aspects of a course and how it makes me feel when I playing . The over fairway was nice . Three out of 18 greens where bad but still course was enjoyable. Fun course . 6 out 10…
Average
The course has a great layout but the greens were in pretty bad shape. Not sure how the location of holes is selected but several holes wouldn't be so bad if they moved the cup to a place where the greens were in better shape. Fairways and tee boxes were ok.

Not Worth the Price
Pace of play was absolutely terrible. Group of 4 held up multiple groups and no marshall on a saturday to tell them to speed it up. A round by myself took over 4 hours. Got to the point where I skipped on hole 15 so I could at least finish before 5 hours.
Also, this course is not worth the price. A few of the tee boxes in rough shape, greens very average. Golf carts parking barely works half the time so if you’re not on a flat area your cart will roll. For a first time player of the course it is very easy to get lost as there is a lot of driving across streets with minimal signs. Needs more signs of direction
Should be a $35 course on weekend and a $20-25 course weekdays in its current shape.

Why have a golf course
This course insists on watering greens and t boxes in the middle of the day. They don’t know how to sand or punch their greens. No starters, no Marshall’s. Players start wherever they want. Fairways are in horrible condition
Due to lack of water. Huge cracks on all fairways.
Apparently the grill is permanently closed. Carts in rough condition.

Need more rain
Condition were dry with hard fairways and greens.
Still some cracks noticeable. Greens very good except some weed patches. Tee boxes need wirk, just like fairways hard.

greens need work
The greens on the first 3 holes are in very bad shape; looks like they have mange. Many of the tee boxes are hard, making it difficult to get a tee into the ground. Tee box on 17 is dirt. Overall shape of the course has gone downhill since I played it last in May.
