Sienna Plantation Golf Club
About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Greens conditions
The greens have historically been bad. I really like the layout and my friend and I were changing up our usual places to play. I seriously doubt if I ever play it again.
The course is well laid out
The greens are well maintained but dry. The fairways are dry and hard. The sprinkler system for the entire golf course needs to be activated regularly instead of relying on sporadic rainfall to keep the course in good shape. The water hazards were dry. Sienna would be a difficult course during the rainy season. Finally, a first-time player would find it difficult to navigate the course because of poor directions.
Thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback in regards to the dry conditions and navigating the course to the staff so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Sienna Plantation Golf Club!
Good layout but green not up to par.
Course has good layout, upkeeps is not the greatest. Green Are not consistent, bare or some part need repair.
Hello, Trinh4174565. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Beautiful Course
I really enjoy this course. It’s a long drive from the west side of Houston, but worth it. Love the contrast between green lush greens and the brown rough in the winter. Lots of beautiful and interesting holes including the finishing 3.
Ok
I love the course layout but it needs help. Tee boxes and fairways are ok, but the greens are awful. Burn spots on almost all greens and every put bumps around. I spent most of my time fixing old divots on the greens. I easily fixed 5-10 per hole and you couldn't tell I did anything

Pace of Play, PLEASE!
This was my second time to play here, and I love the track. I took a friend to show off the course. The kid at the front desk was looking at something on his phone while we checked in and we were obviously bothering him.. anyways, who cares, but pace of play was horrendous.. I gave us 4:30 to finish, as it was cold and rained heavily the day before (4+ inches - course was very playable despite..) and we finished 9 holes in 2:50...!!! Behind a foursome, and we didn't even catch them until the 3rd hole.. We couldn't even finish our round because of these guys.. I stopped at the proshop to complain and the older gentleman working there was on his phone. Noticing I was frustrated, he asked if he could help me. I told him we had to leave because the group ahead of us took 2:50 on the front, he said "ok," and went back to the phone call. Regulate the pace of play, please.. It makes for a much better experience for everyone on the course, not just the one group who doesn't mind aggravating everyone else.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Sienna Plantation Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Sad conditions
Sienna is a good layout and could be fun to play if conditions were to improve. Greens were sketchy at best. Very bumpy, fair amount of bare spots to deal with. Tee boxes were ok. Lots of weeds, especially on the collars and around the greens. Fairways very thin. Wasn't a lot of fun today.
Hi, kimbrellrw. Thank you for reviewing the course. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We are working to get everything up to par. October 6
Course is getting pretty dried out, particularly the greens. Green on #1 is worst with most of it bare earth. Must have watered fairways because very wet and soft on a lot of holes, so that’ll help. Very few golfers today though so pace was excellent. Still an enjoyable round as usual.
September 29th
Course is in decent condition, getting a bit dried out but as expected. Greens recently dressed so no real roll. Other than than a good well paced round.
The course is challenging and in great shape.
I always gave a good time playing this course. It challenges you and is in great condition.
The course has a great layout but course conditions are average. The green were heavily sanded and the fairways and tee boxes showed the results of a hard Texas summer. Restaurant facilities are good.
Hello bucksm. Thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff so they can work to make improvements to the fairways and tee boxes. We are glad you enjoyed the restaurant! Thanks for visiting us!
Good course
Course layout is very good. Lots of fun to play. Greens had just been sanded and this was a bit of a bummer they were pretty smooth but slow the staff behind the desk was more interested in talking to his buddy instead of waiting on us but that was just a little annoying. Overall a good course to play
greens and Boxes
The greens were being aired and were very bumpy. There was no mention to this while imwas booking the round.
The tee boxes were so hard it was hard to tee up as well as long regular yard grass
