About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Golf now guy
Greens are fast and true. Course is in great shape. Fairways are a little wide open but second shots are very demanding. Can’t wait to return.
Solid Course
1st time playing Sienna Plantation and while it didn't blow me away, I thought it was overall solid and good value for the Golfnow Hotdeal.
Conditions overall seemed pretry good, tough to judge it completely with recent rain. Greens were decent and certainly playable. Course layout was fun enough with some tight fairways, blind shots, good mix of hole lengths and enough hazards to make you layup.
Gnats/bugs were present but nothing I would call overwhelming. Pace of play was excellent since it was hot and muggy - no clue how it is normally.
Only staff I met was the gentleman who checked me in and he was very pleasant and even let me tee off a bit early.
Overall good experience and would play again.
Great course Rude staff
The course was fun and I enjoyed playing the holes. The grass was super dry but it was a really hot day. Overall I had a great time, but I won’t go back. The staff we interacted with to rent clubs weren’t amazing but they were personable. After the round though, a man told us to leave the carts next to the door. Another man drove up to us getting into our cars and talked to us like we were idiots for leaving the carts there and told us to “read the sign.” I was going to write a good review and probably come back until that. It was so inappropriate and I won’t go to a golf club that allows their employees to be jerks to PAYING CUSTOMERS.

Multiple Tee shots on this course require you to shape the shot, and that makes this course fun.
Really good course that requires good shot planning on the tee, and your approach to the green. Great variety in Tee Shots from Long Par 4 to short ones. Fast fairways help you attack the longer holes. Greens are firm but fair and putt very true.
June 9
Course is in good condition overall. Greens are undulated and fairly fast. Fairways are a bit dry and hard though so lots of roll (tough to get under the ball around a couple of greens). I’ve played here a few times and it’s always enjoyable. This week the gnats were terrible. A distraction on every shot.

Everything very good except for the bugs all over your face.

Challenging but fair. Beautiful layout. Fairways nice, bunkers in great shape, greens a little dry but in good shape.

Need marshall
Enjoy round of golf. Only problem was with idiots driving
Cart next to greens and on fairways on all par 3s.
Also same playing from back tees-never could get off box.
Now the gripe, call club house and reported on the players - no response and no Marshall!! There were Marshall’s last time I played. Where were they today with lot more golfers on course.

Hot day. Played alone with nobody in front or behind. Was a great day to golf. Sunny and hot. Course in good condition. No cart service though for some reason :(
Good conditions and will be better
Challenging course and good shape. Greens , fairways and traps are three stars now but should be 4 stars in a few weeks.

Greens have seen better days
With all of the rain Houston has had in the past few weeks I was surprised to see the greens in such dire conditions. Fairways are good...greens make the round miserable.
Could be a better course in the right hands
I have been playing this course for over 20 years and have seen its gradual decline from one of the best courses in Houston to just an average course. Lopez Golf Management is doing their best to ruin this course like they did Greatwood. This course is a great and creative layout and has so much potential. It could be a really great course again in the hands of a much better management company. I am surprised the residents of Sienna Plantation put up with this.

Better than others
Greens just need time to recover. But most are in good shape and quick. Fairways are firm-great for my driving distance.

Play if you want to get attacked by bugs the whole round
The course was way over priced! Figured it would be in better shape with the primer prices! On top of that, the course has a biblical plague going on!
