About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Good course
Nice course however the greens had weeds sticking out on every green. Small weeds, but it still affects putting. Need to clean that up. Other than that the fairways were decent, and the Mardhall was easier to deal with this time vs the last. Great deal on Golf Now if you catch it for a hot deal.

Bad Greens, rest OK...needs grasa

Good condition considering the weather
Greens certainly need improvement. Overall condition is fair considering weather in Houston.
The greens are atrocious.horrible they need to discount their fees.

HORRIBLE GREENS
This course has potential. It is beautifully laid out, but the superintendent doesn't take care for the course. The greens are literally bare with spotty grass growth. Your ball will bounce like its on an unfinished cement slab. Don't waste your money here.

Great pace of play
Course was pretty much empty, which was nice, but greens could use some work. Very fast and hard fairways.
Golfers
I have not been out to play Sienna since April 2019. I should of waited longer.
Tee boxes = hard as rock and no grass
Fairways=hard as rock and very little grass
Greens=best part of the course, and they were terrible

January 26
Course was pretty saturated after heavy over night rains so probably not a fair assessment. Overall the course seemed to be in decent winter conditions. A lot of the greens were pretty sparse but seemed to roll ok. Like the fairways though very soft and spongy from all the water. Cart path only and a lot of pick, clean (look for dry area) and place.
