Hill Country Golf Club - Lakes/Oaks
About
Hill Country Golf Club offers three nines, all of which sprawl across 200 scenic acres of Texas Hill Country. The terrain is provided with rolling meadows and steep hillsides dotted with tranquil lakes and ponds that come into play throughout the 27 holes. The Lakes Nine is obviously characterized by the clear blue lakes that come into play throughout the course. There are also wooded ravines and strategically placed bunkers throughout the course for even more challenges. The Oaks Nine is named for the towering oaks that blanket the course. From wooded ravines to tree-lined fairways, this nine is a demanding test of accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers and water comes into play on a few holes. The courses, which were designed by well-known architectural firm Arthur Hill & Associates, have received praise from both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.

Epic Service
The Hyatt Hill Country Golf Course was in excellent condition. Only trumped by the excellent friendly customer service provided by the staff (Michael Johns).. we will be back.
Good as always
Besides the little incident with the fine print policy in my previous posting the course is still my favorite course in the area. The greens run true (if you can read the line) and the fairway is free of debris. The bunkers are looking great. Love the sand texture, easy to play out of.
Read The Fine Print
I've played this course many times through the years and never had I noticed the fine print on GolfNow website for this particular course. I went to the course about two hours before my tee time and was told that I can not check in till an hour before my tee time. Also, I can not hit the range balls till that time but I may chip and putt while I wait. For some one who spent thousands dollars to come to the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch Resort over the years and had payed various prices for the golf at this course THIS IS DEMORALIZING. However, it is in the FINE PRINT. So, the man had done nothing wrong. It just hard for a sixty years old man to walk a couple of hundred yards between chipping green and clubhouse just to check in. (So I won't hit their precious RANGE BALLS before too soon). Folks read the fine print, don't come too early, you may be disappointed. Other than that THIS IS A GREAT COURSE.
must play
The greens where absolutely immaculate, rolling true, fairways where in great shape being it was the middle of winter, great course to fade and draw your shots, lots of shot making possibilities with numerous shot possibilities. Cant wait to play it again..Great discounted prices through the golf now app.
Hit it straight!
Fairways are tighter than most area courses, so straight drives are needed to score well. Course was a little soggy from rain the previous day which added to the challenge by eliminating some of the roll. Lots of contour on the greens and still pretty fast even with the rain. Course amenities and facilities are first class.
Best golf
The course was in great shape. It is my favorite course in San Antonio.
Hill Country
We had a great experience at the course. The staff were very attentive to us since I had not been there for over fifteen years. I will attempt to play there again soon.
Great outing!
Excellent course! First one played since moving to San Antonio from Florida and it didn’t disappoint!
Fantastic course
Great course in every way -- staff, practice facility, course layout, greens, etc. You feel secluded because of dense tree growth separating holes.
It’s close
Overall good round. Quick pace but the greens just haven’t been very good the last few times. Everywhere else the greens are perfect. These are always grainy and really bumpy.
