Stonewall Orchard Golf Club

Enjoyable course with excellent staff. Fairways and bunkers in excellent condition and greens in good condition. Would definitely recommend and play and again.

The staff at Stonewall Orchard is the very best and provides such a welcoming feel right upon arrival. Course was in great shape with excellent scenery and wildlife to take in during the round. Fairways are pristine and bunkers are well manicured. Greens were running at a fair speed. Beverage/snack cart came around about every 4 holes which was nice. Overall, my playing partners and I had a very enjoyable day playing Stonewall Orchard and will definitely be back!

One of the most picturesque courses in Illinois. Exciting layout suitable for all levels of skill

I’ve played Stonewall 2 or 3 times in the last two weeks. They had a few (maybe 4-5) greens or collars that had a couple dry spots on the top of the steepest mounds but it really didn’t affect my play. Most all the other areas and greens were fantastic like always. I also witnessed staff sodding some tee box areas that have seen the most play on par 3’s. I played in 4 hours and it was pretty packed from what I could see. I love the comfy carts and the staff is always great.

Course has seen better days. I enjoy the layout and scenery of this course. Price is on the high end, but overall good value. The carts feel nice and new. Couple bare spots on a couple of the greens, but was only in play once.

Stonewall is normally in great conditon and enjoy playing it a couple of times a year. Played with a hot deal so value at $62 w/cart wasn’t bad. However every green had dried out brown spots and the par 3 tee boxes were in terrible shape as well.

Hope they can clean things up because I love the course.

Overall, we enjoyed Stonewall Orchard after hearing much praise for the course. Nice challenging layout. However, the greens and tee boxes are suffering either from the weather or poor grounds keeping.

The young cart staff were very friendly but I was taken aback by the starter warning me it was a “big boy “ course. Thanks for judging a woman in her 50’s before you have even seen me swing a club.

Always like playing this course but I've never seen the greens in as bad of conditions and they were today. Luckily got a hot deal on golf now but still think that for the price they charge you should expect much better conditions then what it was in

The greens on all the holes were in horrible shape. Greens looked like they belong at a $10 course. Other than that the course was awesome.

Its a fairly nice course but significantly more expensive than similar courses. Tee boxes were pretty ripped up and the greens were poor.. i can spend $40 less and have a better experience at neighboring courses.

The golf course is very nice but the greens were in poor shape. Now either it’s a combo of lack of rain this summer or mower mistake but there was some major green damage in spots. Twice we moved our balls to avoid putting through it. The rest of the green is super green which makes me think, how did lack of water cause green damage when the rest of the green is carpet thick and lush green. Later in the afternoon the green was beat up and they needed to be rolled bad. Greens were way too slow for the type of course it is. A few holes were odd that the reeds were so high. I hit two good shots pushed to the edge of the fairway but couldn’t see the flag because of reeds. I found that odd. Range should be free at this price. And we feel 6 mins behind after 6 holes and the ranger had a talk with us which is never fun. Would I play it again? Yes if it is 65 bucks and the greens were faster. Not worth an hour drive at $95 plus range balls, the ranger up ur butt and slow greens. We played Makray the next day and what a gem that was.
