Stonewall Orchard Golf Club

The course was in great shape accept the greens. They give you ball divot tools when you Tee off. I think O fixed 10 per hole.

Course not in pristine condition and for the price it should be. Big dead spots in fairway and greens cart shuts off even when I told them I was handicapped will not be back

I ask staff for why green condition is being slow; I got an answer that they got short staffs on these days. If cource has shortage on staffs, they should lower the green fees. Those answer were not good to who pay and play at the course.

Had heard great things about this course, including having impeccable greens. The greens were some of the worst I’ve played all year. Pace of play was not enforced. Nearly a 5 hour round before noon on a Tuesday. They acknowledged the subpar conditions but did not adjust their prices.

Jim the starter the most friendly , personable guy at any course !!! Heck of a compliment. Course fun unfortunately the greens pretty beat up with marks and bad patches .

Enjoyable course with excellent staff. Fairways and bunkers in excellent condition and greens in good condition. Would definitely recommend and play and again.

The staff at Stonewall Orchard is the very best and provides such a welcoming feel right upon arrival. Course was in great shape with excellent scenery and wildlife to take in during the round. Fairways are pristine and bunkers are well manicured. Greens were running at a fair speed. Beverage/snack cart came around about every 4 holes which was nice. Overall, my playing partners and I had a very enjoyable day playing Stonewall Orchard and will definitely be back!

One of the most picturesque courses in Illinois. Exciting layout suitable for all levels of skill

I’ve played Stonewall 2 or 3 times in the last two weeks. They had a few (maybe 4-5) greens or collars that had a couple dry spots on the top of the steepest mounds but it really didn’t affect my play. Most all the other areas and greens were fantastic like always. I also witnessed staff sodding some tee box areas that have seen the most play on par 3’s. I played in 4 hours and it was pretty packed from what I could see. I love the comfy carts and the staff is always great.

Course has seen better days. I enjoy the layout and scenery of this course. Price is on the high end, but overall good value. The carts feel nice and new. Couple bare spots on a couple of the greens, but was only in play once.

Stonewall is normally in great conditon and enjoy playing it a couple of times a year. Played with a hot deal so value at $62 w/cart wasn’t bad. However every green had dried out brown spots and the par 3 tee boxes were in terrible shape as well.

Hope they can clean things up because I love the course.

Overall, we enjoyed Stonewall Orchard after hearing much praise for the course. Nice challenging layout. However, the greens and tee boxes are suffering either from the weather or poor grounds keeping.

The young cart staff were very friendly but I was taken aback by the starter warning me it was a “big boy “ course. Thanks for judging a woman in her 50’s before you have even seen me swing a club.

Always like playing this course but I've never seen the greens in as bad of conditions and they were today. Luckily got a hot deal on golf now but still think that for the price they charge you should expect much better conditions then what it was in

The greens on all the holes were in horrible shape. Greens looked like they belong at a $10 course. Other than that the course was awesome.
