Good condition for this time of year
Course is difficult and in good condition for March. Greens were not nearly as fast as they typically are, but that's March. The issue is the money for this time of year. $83 is too much right now. It's a $60 course in these winter conditions. That said it's a $100 course in summer and fall.

A challenging course for sure. Definitely recommend

Only a deal thru Golf Now made this round affordable.
How they justify $80-$100 / round is beyond me.
Greens were lousy at best. There were so many old hole markings,it looked like a mine field. Fairways were soggy ,considering we're in a drought. Pace of play was erratic, on #10, some guy came out of nowhere and was in front of us. I'll admit,I was looking forward to playing here,but left quite disappointed. Only a deal on Golf Now will bring me back.

Meh..
Thank goodness for Golf Now deal. Without a decent deal on green fee, I'm not sure I'd spend $80-$100 to play here. Conditions were not what I anticipated. Greens were so-so, alot of ball marks left unrepaired, some in poor condition. Fairways were a bit slushy, hard to believe we're in a drought. Basically, I was left a bit disappointed and will only return with a Golf Now deal..

The greens are fast,
the bunkers are soft,
hitting your approach...
...use the right loft.
Keep it in the short hairs,
Or the course will make you pay,
Putts are fast and true,
You will be back here another day.

Great course, less than desirable course conditions
The day of golf was very nice and sunny. Stonewall Orchard is a premier public golf course in the Chicagoland area. Unfortunately, the course was quite beat up. The tee boxes were not good, in particular, I have never seen a tee box chewed up like on hole 17. The greens had quite a few divots that did impact some putts. While the round was in the afternoon, spots on the fairway were wet. I spoke with one of the staff and shared some constructive feedback with him. I was told in their defense, there had been 6 outings over the past two weeks. However, the course really reflected it.
