Ranger on our Butt
The course was great 👍 conditions great
We played the front 9 holes in under 2 hours
Ranger approach us to say hello and ask.how we were doing. 10 minutes later the Ranger returned to politely ask us.if we could pick up the pace just a little 🙄. We rushed the next hole.only to be waiting for the Group in front of us.
We finished the round in 4 hours and 7 minutes
Our enjoyment was destroyed being rushed
Another one not worth $100
Course was nice, but once again I was able to get a hot deal for $70 which was about all it’s worth otherwise they wanted $122 before 12 pm. I had to drive almost an hour each way, I have nicer courses near me for less but I like to play different places.seems like you have to play in the heat after 12 if you want a deal. Even park district courses are outrageous in prices.
2-hr Rain delay, no problem
Played this course for the first after heavy rain that caused 2-hr rain delay and the course was good shape.
Nice course
Course was beautiful and breathtaking. There were a ranger or two out there but one group ruined the round. They were inconsiderate an played slow. The ranger should have removed them from the golf course but they did not. That ruined the experience and I probably will not play here again.
Pace of Play and Unruly, Drunk Foresomes
Three ups:
- Staff were great
- back nine
- staff called to apologize
Four Downs:
- unruly, loud golfers ran wild on the course
- pace of play was absolute deplorable
- too much water on the course/fairways, they should have rescheduled the rounds to another day
- can’t use mats on the driving range

First time here. No two holes the same, course was in great shape. Multiple tees so pick the one that fits your game. 👍👍

Used to be better
I played this course 5 or 6 years ago and I remember it being a much better experience. While it was still in good shape, I would say that it was only “above average” as opposed to “excellent.” The greens were decent and fast, which I liked, but some were faster and slower than others. Some pin placements were unrealistic for how fast the greens were rolling. Some of the cart paths were in pretty bad shape. To continue to be touted as one of the top couses in the area, they are going to need to pour some money into this course. Its scenic, but not worth more than $75.

As most all reviews reflect, the course is in fantastic condition right now with the greens rolling pure and fast. We are in the beginning of a two year cart path renovation. Stonewall Orchard
Course is in good shape. Some weeds in the fairways. Kind of odd. Pace of play was exactly what the starter said. Everyone who worked at the course was very kind and helpful. Course presented challenges and was nice to play. A little pricey for a round of golf; however, pretty much everything today is a little pricey. Thank You Stonewall Orchard for providing a challenging Nd fun day.

More concerned with carts than course
Not a bad track but definitely not worth over $100 a person course is in okay shape, but not great. They're definitely more concerned with where your cart is located and the condition of the course. In the cart you were constantly reminded every few minutes to stay on cart paths or to only use the 90°rule. At least once per hole it would switch from the map of the hole to some message about staying on the cart path or not being too close to the green. Mind you we were on the cart path the entire time or at 90° the fairway. That alongside the signage is overwhelming. Several times throughout the day we'd have to back our cart up when it's already on the cart path because it thinks it's not. This happened to everybody in our foursome. If the cart wasn't yelling at us about that it was giving us warning messages about pace of play. This was constant. There was nothing we could do as the force ahead of us was also slowed down. Again I feel that the need to micromanage is definitely greater than the need to take care of the course conditions.

Used to be better
More dried out than I remember from a couple years ago. And it’s only mid June.
Pace of play was poor but the ranger did a great job telling the slow groups to pick up the pace and didn’t blame us when it obviously wasn’t. Highlands of Elgin could learn a thing from Stonewall.
Golf carts were super comfortable. Plush seats. Nice gps with correct pin placements. Club washer too.

Great course. Fun to play. For the price they charge, the course should be in a little better shape, especially the bunkers.

With all the rain that morning and being cart path only, it was definitely wet and it adds to the pace for sure.
