Teravista Golf Club
       About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Good
I definitely like this course. It’s in good shape and a good layout. Fairways are mowed to short. Just like most courses in austin. A bit over priced. And pace is slow.
The course Marshalls will get in your head
We were playing at a perfect pace, 1/2 a hole between us and the group ahead. The group behind us played from the senior tees and continuously hit into us. We were not playing slow; rather, we were playing at pace. If you have played this track before, then you know how much distance there is between many holes. The Marshalls basically followed us on the back nine. Said something to us once, but then just stared and stayed with us. I’ve been playing golf for over 30 years, and their obsession with a 4-hour round, especially on a Sunday morning, can be unnerving. From now on, I’ll only play here when I can’t get a tee time at Star Ranch. BTW, we played in under 4 hours!
Too many golfers
Tee times are stacked so tight it is impossible to enjoy playing here. At one point there were four groups on a par 5 with two groups waiting to start. Dont waste your day here if its not a wide open day. Not enjoyable.

The reviews are consistent. The customer service at this course is horrible. I had to call the club house multiple times about six'um from individual with later start times jumping ahead to team up. I was not allowed to take a cart to get my clubs from the car. I had to walk up and down the driving range to find the person I had to share a cart. Ignoring me on the driving range he proceeded to the first tee. I had to return to the club house where they called the starter who said he was there waiting.
He was extremely rude to the two ladies we were paired up with and with a 3 pm start we did not finish 12 holes before darkness caught us.
The greens were nice, some tee boxes were bushy and the fairways were hit or miss on condition.
The course was in good condition. Some tough and intimidating holes
Money grab
Was told over the phone guest were able to ride, at course had to pay a full greens fee for them to ride and rent clubs for rider that doesn’t play golf and was told it is packed so no less than four per hole yet the three groups behind and in front of us were twosomes. Course was not worth normal single greens fees conditions and pace were bad and marshaling was not helping much
Eh it’s okay
I played here at Terravista while I was visiting Austin for the weekend. The greens were really nice unless it was being sanded which was like one or two. There’s a lot of houses but I appreciated that greens were wide open and hitting in the opposite direction of said houses. However, if you are a recent golfer, I would not recommend this course to you because of the houses. Anyways, there was a good ole five some in front of me. I’ve seen reviews of people talk about it but this is the very first time I have ever seen a fivesome. I didn’t even know that could happen or existed like Big foot. There’s also wasn’t a cart girl to be seen for the entire round and it was only 99 degrees outside so I didn’t need any ice. Overall, two stars I liked the greens and fairways were pretty decent but everything else was meh.
Staff
Name a better staff.. I’ll wait.
5.5hr round. Way over priced.
Tee’d off at 11:30am on a Saturday. Round took 5.5hrs. We finished after 5pm. Tee times 8 minutes apart doesn’t help.
6 out of the 18 greens had been punched and top dressed with sand.
They still charged full price of $110 dollars. Way over priced.
All tee boxes are uneven.
No trash cans on the course either… found this odd. Lots of trash in their lakes and I think this is because of the lack of trash cans.
Fun Course
First time playing here and really enjoyed it. Not a very long course but shot selection keeps things interesting.
Will definitely play here again and staff were all very friendly.
Not much to offer in the way of food after the round but the golf was good and pace of play was fine.
Drinks cart is in operation, which is always nice.
Great Course, Terrible Pace of Play
Teravista offers a challenging layout for all skill levels, from beginners to scratch golfers. However, my recent experience was marred by slow play. The course was cart-path only, and with groups teeing off back-to-back, we waited 15 minutes or more at each hole, resulting in a round exceeding 6 hours. In July heat, this is simply unacceptable. Better course management is needed.
