Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Staff
Name a better staff.. I’ll wait.
5.5hr round. Way over priced.
Tee’d off at 11:30am on a Saturday. Round took 5.5hrs. We finished after 5pm. Tee times 8 minutes apart doesn’t help.
6 out of the 18 greens had been punched and top dressed with sand.
They still charged full price of $110 dollars. Way over priced.
All tee boxes are uneven.
No trash cans on the course either… found this odd. Lots of trash in their lakes and I think this is because of the lack of trash cans.
Fun Course
First time playing here and really enjoyed it. Not a very long course but shot selection keeps things interesting.
Will definitely play here again and staff were all very friendly.
Not much to offer in the way of food after the round but the golf was good and pace of play was fine.
Drinks cart is in operation, which is always nice.
Great Course, Terrible Pace of Play
Teravista offers a challenging layout for all skill levels, from beginners to scratch golfers. However, my recent experience was marred by slow play. The course was cart-path only, and with groups teeing off back-to-back, we waited 15 minutes or more at each hole, resulting in a round exceeding 6 hours. In July heat, this is simply unacceptable. Better course management is needed.
Great shape, but one gripe
Course is in the best shape I’ve seen it in 10 years. Staff rating low because of the clubhouse moving my tee time while we were on the first tee box. Marshall’s, cart gals, bar staff were great.
We checked in with the starter and we were next up on the box at our tee time. Then the starter says we were moved back one slot. He said the clubhouse made the change to accommodate a few members so they could have 3 consecutive tee times. I said you told us we were up and the starter said he was just following the direction he was given. Why book a tee time if the clubhouse is going to change it? If we were late for our tee time, the course would definitely have a problem with us. Then had to tell the Marshall we weren’t 5 minutes behind on hole 4 when he said to pick up the pace a little, we were a few minutes ahead because of our later start. Might seem like a small gripe but they can do better
Pricey But Fun and Challenging
### Pricey But Fun and Challenging
Terra Vista Golf Course in Round Rock, Texas, offers a great experience for golfers who enjoy a bit of a challenge. The course is well-maintained, with lush fairways and pristine greens. Each hole brings something new, with a mix of open fairways and tight, tree-lined shots that test your skills.
The facilities are top-notch, including a well-stocked clubhouse and excellent practice areas. The on-site restaurant is also a nice touch for a post-round meal or drink.
However, it is a bit pricey compared to other local courses. If you're willing to pay a bit more for a quality course and challenging play, Terra Vista is worth a visit.
Quality Play!!!
This was a great outing! Staff was great! Course was in great shape. Played with members who treated me like their own. Highly recommend!
Always a great time playing here!
One of my go-to courses in the area. Course is in great shape with lots of challenging holes. You have to check this course out!
Extremely slow play ruined good course
Overall Teravista is a great course in good condition. Unfortunately after waiting 20 min on every hole to tee off we gave up after 5hrs and did not even play the last 3 holes. Played here 3 times now and could never complete a round as every time it is 5hrs plus and not the end of the game. Such a shame
Sand traps
The sand traps were unplayable. Pace of play was extremely slow. No marshalls came along to try to keep things moving.
Green fees were near $100 and I expected a course worthy of those lofty fees. The course did not deliver.
Overpriced for what you get
This course has a great layout and potential to be a top notch course in the Austin area. Problem is the course maintenance is not that great. The fairways and rough are good. The bunkers are trash, might as well just pull your ball out of them. The quality of the greens are inconsistent. Some are good, others have hole patches cut around the edge near the fringe and strips cut out in middle of green. For $120+ round the course should be maintained better. Not even a small bucket of balls to warm up with for that price?? Come on... No course layout on the scorecard, no GPS on carts. It's the small details that matter. I understand the concept of dynamic pricing but i will not be playing again until the pricing tiers are dropped to match the value of the course.
TERRIBLE Traps!
I actually love this course, when I lived off the 16th green. I hadn't played it a couple years due to moving out of the area. I was extremely surprised and disappointed with the condition of most of the traps. Unfortunately, I landed in several. Most were hard packed dirt and rocks with no sand whatsoever. Also, no enforcement of people raking the dirt (LOL).
Other than that, a fun, challenging course to play. However, I wont play it again without checking on the condition of the traps.
$112??
I remember when Teravista was $35 and 2 free beers. These prices are ridiculous. Course is good. No real issues besides paying $100+ for 18 holes of golf is absurd.
