Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

The Vista
It was a great on the course. The greens were good. Fairways were in good shape. We are definitely going to be playing here soon!
Very fun course!
Great pace of play, course Marshall was actively doing rounds. Course is very well designed. Greens are a little tall but in good shape.
Great course, poor pacd
Awesome layout, a lot of fun. Greens were just okay, but the rest of the course was perfect. Pace of play was absolutely terrible though.. front 9 took 2:45 on a Friday afternoon
Go somewhere else
Few complaints and it is the same as the ones you have already read. The pace of play here is the worst in the Austin area. They stack tee time on top of each other and it makes it hard to enjoy a nice day of golf when you wait 15 min in between every shot. The greens could definitely be better for the price. Staff is friendly and I would play this course again if they ever fix the pace of play.
Horrible pace, home of slow play!
Decided to give this place a try again after not going for 2 years due to bad course conditions and pace of play sucked, i made the wrong call. I thought playing on a weekday would have better pace but i was wrong. Played 3 holes in one hour so we were on a 6 hour pace, awesome (sarcasm). Also the fairways did have some grass but was super tight lies which sucked. Greens had some weird type of grass/disease going on, slow and bumpy.
I won't be going back to this course but if you want to spend a whole day playing a round, hot off tight lies and wait to hit a shot every 15 minutes, then this is the course for you.
Don’t book with GolfNow
Anytime I have booked with GolfNow for Teravista, there has been issues. Two times now, golfnow doesn’t send the reservation to the course. Show up and they can’t find me in the system.
5 hours 40 minutes
This was the longest round of golf I have ever played. We teed off at 1:28 on time and got done at 7:07. The course could have been Augusta with free beer and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. For $100 I expect to be able to go out and play a round of golf at a reasonable pace. The course was in ok condition but I expected better for the price. All in all NOT worth the price and at that pace I expect the course should be paying me an hourly rate
Rude, Inattentive Staff
The round took 5.5 hours. There is absolutely no reason a course should play this slow. There was a marshall out, but he sat on the 9th hole rudely chastising people about cart path rules. He did NOTHING to improve the pace of play. Won't ever play here again.
Horrible staff
Staff was incredibly unfriendly. When I walked in the pro shop they were in a heated argument with someone and when I go to check in for my tee time I was told they didn’t have enough carts to go around even though I already made and paid for a tee time. I ask for a refund or rain check and they said that has to go through their GM who doesn’t work on the weekend and doesn’t have a phone number to call. The golf course is nice and well maintained but the staff is too unfriendly and it only seems like they’re out to make the most money possible and don’t care about the people paying to play. Therefore, I can’t recommend this golf course and will never be going back.
