Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

#10 fairway in really bad condition the second cut has wild grass growing almost ankle deep.

Great course for the money!
Great course - done in under 4 hours! The back 9 was more challenging due mainly to the wind.......but overall a good time.
Course was excellent challenge and fun to play.
Course is very nice & enjoyable to play. Only issue was that aireation had just been completed several days before play and greens had not returned to normal conditions. Would definitely return for another outing.
Fast & Soft Greens
man, the greens at Teravista are soft and fast, but not in a bad way. The lines are readable and putts will go in as long as you don't blast it.
resident but would like them to do more for residents per golf players
Good course...greens were great and fair. Pace is usually good. For our area, top 3. I use golf now as price is usually better than resident rate.
5 Star Course / 3.5 Star Service
This was my first time to play Teravista. I was very pleased with the quality of the course and GPS enabled Club Car carts. The driving range was also very big and accessible. The course is open and fun to play with enough hazards to keep you paying attention. It seemed the tee boxes were very far apart so it's definitely not a walking course. The pace of play was good. I was disappointed with the lack of service staff available to help. We never saw a bev cart the entire round of 18 holes despite asking if they were out on the course at the break. They also do not provide ice, water, or ice chests on the carts. Ice water is available along the course in igloo coolers. Price was similar to higher end country club such as River Place. I'd prefer River Place vs Teravista from a service standpoint. However both courses were fun to play themselves. The GPS enabled carts are annoying at Teravista because they do not warn you that you are entering into a restricted area until you are in the area. Then you have to back out slowly until you're in the clear. Some areas considered off limits were a little ridiculous to me as well. Overall a fun day.
Great course
Greens were flawless... very true roll and about a 10. Well maintained fairways and rough. Touchscreen GPS made hole management a breeze. Had a 10:45 tee time, and got off by 10:15. Never waited till the last few holes. Will be back soon.
Challenging course, not for walkers
Great course that offers a variety of challenges including multiple water features, bunkers, and multi-tiered greens. Very well maintained with a super friendly staff. Impossible to walk with significant distances between holes.
The course is in great shape despite the Texas heat.
Teravista Golf Club is a must play for golfers of all skill levels. It is a fair, but demanding course which requires one to pay attention to every shot. The greens are quick and true.
Really nice greens, good grass on fairways for this time of year.
Teravista has some of the best greens in town right now, quick and rolling smooth. The whole course is in great shape, grass in the fairways, some thick rough but some that's actually nice to hit off. The only flaw I noticed was the bunkers, which seem to have no actual sand, just this heavy clay-ish stuff that sticks to your club. Very hard to gauge how hard to go after a bunker shot. They really need to redo those. Only real drawback, except for rampant runaway construction--hideous houses going up everywhere--on a nice course.
Great value , fun course!
Course is great value for money. Maybe not pristine, but in excellent area. Favorite course all around. Great practice facilities.
Great course
the course is well maintained and well planned. It provides great challenge for golfers at all levels.
They provide excellent services and are very friendly.
Loved it!
Poorly maintained. No coordination
Its been a long time since I've been out to Teravista and it will probably be even longer time again. Course was cut but dead cut grass was extremely heavy course wide as if they had waited a very long time to cut it. The course itself has been better but for the heat we have it was decent.
My main issue here was we booked online and no mention of a tournament going on that evening. We go in and pay and get sent to the back 9. Not an issue... then there are 3 groups on hole 10. The ones we talked to were on their back 9 so of course didn't want anyone to go in front of them. So we went back to the front 9 and Hispanic man rudely told us we had to go back to the back and get in line (even though we had a tee time) because there was an HP tournament there in an hour. In one hour we could have been long gone but instead waited all day as a twosome behind 2 very slow threesomes and a foursome. I was extremely disappointed with the organization of this place and will not go back for a long time with all of Austins other golf offerings.
Super Fast Round
You always know what you're going to get from Teravista: a course in great shape, a fast round, and great service. It was a Tuesday afternoon, so we finished in just over 3 hours.
The Staff was just really really friendly. I was very impressed.
The course was in really good shape. I enjoyed it very much.
This course has a solid foundation and will look great once the trees really start to grow.
Teravista was in great shape. The greens were smooth and consistent. The tees and fairways were manicured. The bunkers had not been raked and many of them showed signs of a cloth protruding in them (this could possibly be more of a hazard that actually being in the sand, especially if catching the cloth in your through swing).
Course was in very good shape. Started on time. Great GPS, the best I have seen
Need a beverage cart or check the drinking water on the couse. I think it was hole 15 near the restroom that was out of drinking water in 101 degree heat! Cart girl would have been great. Than again a cart girl is always greate!!
GolfNow price made for best value in town
I had not played Teravista since they got their new golf carts, mainly because I don't like to pay that much to play golf. But thanks to a GolfNow hot deal, I got out there, and the new carts are great! The GPS with touchscreen yardages are fantastic. Plus club and ball washers on the carts.
Ample drinking water on the course much appreciated.
Greens were rolling great.
Nice practice facilities.
Only downside was lack of marshall on the course, which would have been greatly appreciated due to an EXTREMELY slow threesome that was holding up 4-somes behind it. One group just skipped 2 holes in order to leap-frog them. The over-four-hours time I had was fairly excruciating for a mid-day Wednesday tee time. Probably an isolated case, but a marshall run everyone once and awhile is a great idea.
Fairways and geens are great
Greens punched two weeks ago but in great shape. Practice area is a plus
Great shape
The course was excellent. The greens were the bestt I've seen them.
