Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Nice
Everything was perfect except a little slow in play.
Only with Hot Deals
Tera Vista is a quality golf course that is too expensive, but comparable in price to other courses in the area, Forest Creek, Star Ranch. The range balls are a good value, GPS cart is awesome, and help pace of play, and greens are usually receptive and roll pretty well.
Nice layout, great condition, except awful bunkers.
I love the layout and condition of this course, except the bunkers. They're absolutely awful. You couldn't all them sand traps: exposed bunker lining, rocks and packed dirt. Greens and fairways are in great conditions, just stay out of the bunkers.
Very fun to play
The greens where perfect rolling around a 9 to 10.
great
great deal for the cost.course in great shape and very enjoyable to play
Had a great time, course was in very nice shape
The only problem we had was because there was a tourney out just in front of us. So it was slow and we finished in the dark.
Like the course very much
Pretty course and well maintained...
Pretty course and well maintained... Love to play here again.
Challenging for Beginners
This was the first time I played this course and played alone to practice for an upcoming tournament there. I found it challenging for me as a beginner (I've only played for less than a year) but fun.
Top 3 in RR/Austin area!
One of my favorite 3 courses in the north Austin area, if not my top favorite. Good, challenging layout depending on the tees you select. Fairways and tee boxes in great shape, enough hazards to provide some challenge and penalize wayward shots, and greens that hold well and roll true. My only complaint - and this is coming from someone who likes fast/super-fast greens - is that the greens are a bit slow for my taste. Club staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the grill & bar, while small, serves up good food at good prices.
#10 fairway in really bad condition the second cut has wild grass growing almost ankle deep.

Great course for the money!
Great course - done in under 4 hours! The back 9 was more challenging due mainly to the wind.......but overall a good time.
Course was excellent challenge and fun to play.
Course is very nice & enjoyable to play. Only issue was that aireation had just been completed several days before play and greens had not returned to normal conditions. Would definitely return for another outing.
Fast & Soft Greens
man, the greens at Teravista are soft and fast, but not in a bad way. The lines are readable and putts will go in as long as you don't blast it.
resident but would like them to do more for residents per golf players
Good course...greens were great and fair. Pace is usually good. For our area, top 3. I use golf now as price is usually better than resident rate.
5 Star Course / 3.5 Star Service
This was my first time to play Teravista. I was very pleased with the quality of the course and GPS enabled Club Car carts. The driving range was also very big and accessible. The course is open and fun to play with enough hazards to keep you paying attention. It seemed the tee boxes were very far apart so it's definitely not a walking course. The pace of play was good. I was disappointed with the lack of service staff available to help. We never saw a bev cart the entire round of 18 holes despite asking if they were out on the course at the break. They also do not provide ice, water, or ice chests on the carts. Ice water is available along the course in igloo coolers. Price was similar to higher end country club such as River Place. I'd prefer River Place vs Teravista from a service standpoint. However both courses were fun to play themselves. The GPS enabled carts are annoying at Teravista because they do not warn you that you are entering into a restricted area until you are in the area. Then you have to back out slowly until you're in the clear. Some areas considered off limits were a little ridiculous to me as well. Overall a fun day.
Great course
Greens were flawless... very true roll and about a 10. Well maintained fairways and rough. Touchscreen GPS made hole management a breeze. Had a 10:45 tee time, and got off by 10:15. Never waited till the last few holes. Will be back soon.
Challenging course, not for walkers
Great course that offers a variety of challenges including multiple water features, bunkers, and multi-tiered greens. Very well maintained with a super friendly staff. Impossible to walk with significant distances between holes.
The course is in great shape despite the Texas heat.
Teravista Golf Club is a must play for golfers of all skill levels. It is a fair, but demanding course which requires one to pay attention to every shot. The greens are quick and true.
Really nice greens, good grass on fairways for this time of year.
Teravista has some of the best greens in town right now, quick and rolling smooth. The whole course is in great shape, grass in the fairways, some thick rough but some that's actually nice to hit off. The only flaw I noticed was the bunkers, which seem to have no actual sand, just this heavy clay-ish stuff that sticks to your club. Very hard to gauge how hard to go after a bunker shot. They really need to redo those. Only real drawback, except for rampant runaway construction--hideous houses going up everywhere--on a nice course.
Great value , fun course!
Course is great value for money. Maybe not pristine, but in excellent area. Favorite course all around. Great practice facilities.
