About
Previously known as Aaki Ranch International Golf Course, Stone River Golf Club is a basic, homemade 18-hole track that opened in 1997, featuring rolling Bermuda pastures, manmade lakes, and young trees. Playing only 6,487 yards from the tips with minimal trees lining the fairways, you’ll be able to swing hard and let it rip.
Getting there : From Dallas, head east on I-30 for about 25 miles to exit 77B (FM35). Turn right at the stop onto FM 35, then continue about 1 mile. Turn right onto FM 2453 and drive another .5 miles. The golf course is on your right

Rough
Needs lots of water. In poor condition. Cracks in back nine fairways. Will not go back
Good course
Course overall was dry and felt like playing on concrete, but with drought conditions it's expected. Value was good though.
Great Course
Great Course to play. The fairways were in great shape, and greens were super fast.

Great Course
Had a great day playing this course. Was able to take my time and relax, and focus on improving my game. The fairways were in great shape and had strategic hazards throughout. Greens were exceptionally fast, putts did not need much power or they were off and running. Definitely will be back and highly recommend this course.
Slow pace
The course was in decent condition. Hole 6 was a little confusing. The pace of game was very slow as the players ahead of me were taking a lot of time. I would play again as it’s really good value for money.
Cow Pasture
Besides a friendly staff and decent greens, I wouldn’t recommend this course. The fairways are all cracked and look like a cow pasture.
Tee boxes
Tee boxes are so hard you can hardly get tee in them.
Great course but lack of amenities
There was no water on the course to refill your bottle and for weekend prime time tee time in the morning we never saw a single cart girl/boy selling anything
Great course, amazing staff.
Course was fun, staff was super nice and helpful especially being my first time there. Got a great deal on the course as well. Only complaint is the tee boxes were like concrete. It was almost impossible to get a tee in the ground.
Nice easy course, rough terrain which they are working on
I like this course, there are a few aspects that need work. The driving range and front 9 tee boxes are hard as rock and you will break a few tees just trying to get them in the ground. However, I know they are redoing them and I expect them to get better soon. There are 0 bathrooms or water buckets on the course, which is a first that I have seen. Overall though, I like the course, it’s a good first course or beginner course that is affordable and gives you some difficulty but not hard.

Course Conditions
Course did not drain properly from rain night before. Course’s back nine was shut down because of this issue. Only played 9 holes.
Not a bad course
The course was in pretty good shape, some casual water standing in a few areas from the previous days rain.
The greens had a few patchy spots and were a bit fuzzy (slow), but they were in good shape I thought.
Hole 9 the they had playing as par 3, the existing tee boxes are under construction so they had moved temp boxes way up the fairway.
The range is also under construction so there is a temp boxes there as well, should be pretty nice when its complete.
Overall I thought the course was much better than reviews indicated. When I checked in the staff was very nice and said they've done a lot of work on the place over the past year and it showed.
Good value for the money, and I would play there again.

I have been playing at this course for awhile now, always friendly faces in the clubhouse & out on the course. Get to have a good time with some good friends.
