Played here on a Sunday afternoon for my first time and really enjoyed this course. Fairways and greens were in great condition. The course definitely had some challenging holes. I really liked the drive thru bar at hole 9. The only downside was that we were stuck behind a slower group and finished our round about 25 minutes behind pace.

I play often and always loved this course. It's challenging and has awesome holes. The conditions are awesome a month after plugging. It was one of the cheaper rounds on the weekend, but you also get a bucket of balls. After these rains we had, some of these courses will look amazing in another week or so when they dry out.

I played at 7 am and unfortunately got caught behind a slow group in front of us, pace picked up on the back and total round was 4h 20m.

*Some people knocked this course recently of plugging, that's all gone. Course shape is as good as you can ask for.

It was a Saturday afternoon, 2:00 tee time in late June, so probably crazy for playing anyway, but had about 7 hours to kill. This round took 5 of those hours. Front 9 is a little uninteresting other than the first par 5 (#4), The back 9 is spectacular. Very scenic and hilly and really tests your shotmaking. Course was in great shape, a real bargain for the price I think. On-course staff were friendly and helpful.

My recent round at ShadowGlen was disappointing. The pace of play was excruciatingly slow, clocking in at 5.5 hours with constant waits and no marshal to enforce pace of play. To make matters worse, the fairways and greens were severely aerated, making for a frustrating experience on every hole. While aeration is necessary, the course conditions combined with the snail-like pace made for a truly unsatisfying day. I'd recommend checking conditions before you play.

The course gives free balls for the driving range. That was the only positive for today. They started us on the tenth hole which is no big deal. The problem came in around the 12th hole where I caught the foursome ahead of me. The 14th hole, that foursome caught the foursome in front of them and now the group behind me is caught up to me. Standing around in the Texas heat casually chatting got ridiculous. I just stopped playing at the 16th hole and left.

All greens were covered in a blueish wet dye. If you don’t mind it all over everything, you are all good then. Otherwise, everyone is super friendly and the prices are reasonable. The fairways and tee boxes were all good. Still trying to learn the tee box markings with dots vs colors like all others.

Back nine has interesting holes. Greens needed to be mowed but great value and great staff

If you want to pay $100 for a goat track…. Go ahead.

No excuses for how horrible their greens are. Every time I've gone they have been in horrible shape.

Solid course and round. Discounted rates for punched greens, the post Memorial Day rains are helping the greens recover nicely.

I wish they had shower supplies and towels, so we can get ready for work without having to go back to the house

Greens were rough and the price was too high. The pace of play was bad too many people for 7 min starts

The course has gotten better but the price has far outpaced the quality. It’s not a 100 course

The course conditions were below average. Couple of the greens were very patchy, all of them fairly bumpy. Pace of play was brutal, had a 3:30 tee time and only got to finish 16 by 8 when we were told to bring carts in.

In my opinion, it was worth the $55 twilight rate but wouldn’t pay full price
