Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club

About
Heritage Ranch serves up an especially challenging par 72, 6,988-yard Arthur Hills design that rolls through the oaks and pecans just outside of Fairview. And while it’s part of a gated, active-adult residential community, the course is open to the public and especially fun because it integrates well with the neighborhood. Houses line some fairways, but a fair number of holes provide that natural, rural feel that is always so welcome on a golf course.
While the course is not particularly demanding off the tees, the real challenge at Heritage Ranch comes from the mound-shaped greens. If your irons aren’t dialed in, you’ll be working hard for ups and downs.
No. 1 is a unique opener because it bends left down to a fairway and green that aren’t visible from the tee. Big drives can get close, but the recommended play is to take a long iron and draw it over the hill.
The par 5s on the front are nice holes. No. 3 doglegs right and requires a good tee shot, followed by a relatively easy second shot into a widening fairway toward the hole. The trick is nailing the short iron (almost a blind shot) into the elevated green guarded by bunkers on the front. No. 7 is longer and offers a good chance for birdie, again because of its wide-open nature.
No. 16 is the signature hole: a par 3 masterpiece that plays along a natural spring waterfall. You’ll need to nail a long iron over the valley and avoid the trees that overhang the fairway from the right.
No. 18 is a good finisher–it’s a long par 4 that doglegs left around a few large fairway bunkers, then works its way uphill to an elevated, mound-shaped green surrounded by bunkers. Ups and downs are possible here if you miss the green back left, which is easy to do when you approach with a fairway wood.
Getting there : Only 20 miles northeast of Dallas, take I-75 north to the Stacy Road exit, then turn right and drive to the dead end. The road jogs to the left, then right, and continues as Stacy Road. The entrance is 2 miles down on the left.

Top notch
Great course in great condition for this time of year in North Texas
Great course conditions!
The course was in great condition. Fairways and greens were awesome. Tee boxes were great and even offered sand for your divots. Greens were fast and smooth. Overall one of the better courses I’ve played in DFW. Will definitely be back
Awesome course
Great course and well maintained. It was a busy day and hence pace of play was an issue especially for beginners
Awesome course layout
The fairways are mostly wide open and kept in great shape. Some challenges on this course made it great but the pace of play was terribly bad. over 5 hours for the round easily. Saw the cart girl on hole one and never saw her again. Other than that the course and amenities are awesome.
Wow! New favorite in DFW!
Played with my two teenage sons. Great course. Staff (especially starter) were very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was fantastic considering we had a midday (11:24) tee time. Finished in 4:06 and only waited to hit one time the whole day. Facilities are country club and top notch. Carts have detailed GPS so made playing an unknown course more manageable. We played from the white tees and found that several of the holes you do not need a driver unless you like 80-100 yd shots. Looking to go back very soon and pick up few shots with the course knowledge. Practice range, chipping, sand, and putting surfaces all close and in good/great condition. Course had a few browned spots (usually near the greens) but overall condition was amazing. Greens are fast -- need to be able to spin the ball to get it to stop. Great fun putting once you got used to the speed. Great experience. Will be back!
Course was in fantastic shape!
Course was great. Layout is one of my favorites. Pace of play was terrible. A group of 5 was allowed to go out and they had no golf ediquite.
Enjoyable round of golf
Sun shines, empty and fabulous course. What else you can wish for?
A Gem in Fairview
Absolutely gorgeous course. Very challenging layout, pristine greens overall course conditions were excellent. You pay a high price to play But it’s worth every single penny.
Great layout. Beautiful condition
I played the twilight to bring the price down but the crowd was not there either. Course conditions were great even after a flood of the front nine. They recovered and prepared the course nicely. Looking forward to playing again as you need to know the aim lines for this one. That cost me some stokes. The carts had satellite yardage screen, and we’re very comfortable.
Heritage ranch —great course !
Played round today at heritage ranch..awesome track with outstanding customer service!
The lady in the pro shop was super friendly & cart staff did a good job as well..
Always recommend playing this track.
Thanks heritage & staff
Front Nine closed without warning
Drove 50 minutes in traffic to play Heritage yesterday only to find out the front nine was closed and they were sending people off the back nine twice. For full price. There was no mention of this whatsoever when booking the tee time on golf now.
