Old Brickyard Golf Course
About
Some argue that the tricked-up golf course has no place in today’s game, but they might change their mind after visiting the eclectic Old Brickyard. As the name implies, the course lays out in and around an old brickyard, featuring dramatic elevation changes, blind shots, and some unbelievable, almost impossible holes. This is one you’ll want to play just to say you’ve seen it.
The opening holes are pretty basic as you traverse northward before turning into the meat of the course, where the dramatic elevation changes start wreaking havoc on your club selection. After about the third or fourth hole, every hole seems to have some unique feature.
The Old Brickyard Lake comes into play on holes 9-11, some of the most difficult holes you’ll find anywhere. After you limp homeward suffering near-disasters on the tricky par 3 No. 8, which plays over water and seems to drop about 5 stories, and the demented 9th hole, which features a funky tee shot and challenging approach over water to a difficult green, No. 10 is not a welcome sight. Hole 10 plays from an elevated tee box, with water along the right. Water comes into play on the next two shots as well, since it cuts across the dogleg-right fairway. If you’re struggling, this is a double-digit hole for sure.
There’s no real break after No. 10, either. The 13th requires a precision short iron to a tiered green. More surprises await as you finish the round, so be prepared. The yard is a fun day of golf.
Getting there : Take I-45 south from Dallas to Ferris, then exit 267 and continue down the access road to the entrance on the right.

Golfer Reviews
Horrible greens!!
Horrible greens! Pretty much dead! Roped off areas on the greens! My son has regionals coming up in two weeks, I would be ashamed to have all those kids come there and play if I was management. Course layout challenging, but fair!
Brick yard review
Played today with three other. We got a hot deal and we all thought it was well worth the money to play here. The fair ways and tee boxes were in really good condition for the most part. The greens were fast but hold a chip pretty well. Some greens had areas roped off but the green conditions should only improve as the weather warms up. We will be returning soon for another hot deal round!
Great course!
I'm an average player who plays roughly once to twice a month and I had my best game I've ever played. I'm the staff is super friendly and the course is great. My group had a 10/10 experience here.
Ok
Course and greens were decent. However it still needs lots of work on greens, cart path and sides of fairway

Great course! Great staff! Great views!
Bad Greens
Save your time and money. Course is in bad shape due to the landscape and weather. Friendly staff but I would save the trip and play this in the summer
Bad condition
I have played this course a couple of times in the past 45 years. The conditions going down considerably. There is no signage from one hole to the next. If you are a first time player to this course, you will probably get lost. Fairways were horrible around the greens horrible. I won’t be coming back.
