Course Highlights
Built from an old brickyard quarry, this course delivers a uniquely challenging layout with dramatic elevation changes found nowhere else in the DFW area. Greens and fairways consistently hold up well throughout the seasons, and the welcoming staff make every visit feel personal.

Some argue that the tricked-up golf course has no place in today’s game, but they might change their mind after visiting the eclectic Old Brickyard. As the name implies, the course lays out in and around an old brickyard, featuring dramatic elevation changes, blind shots, and some unbelievable, almost impossible holes. This is one you’ll want to play just to say you’ve seen it.

The opening holes are pretty basic as you traverse northward before turning into the meat of the course, where the dramatic elevation changes start wreaking havoc on your club selection. After about the third or fourth hole, every hole seems to have some unique feature.

The Old Brickyard Lake comes into play on holes 9-11, some of the most difficult holes you’ll find anywhere. After you limp homeward suffering near-disasters on the tricky par 3 No. 8, which plays over water and seems to drop about 5 stories, and the demented 9th hole, which features a funky tee shot and challenging approach over water to a difficult green, No. 10 is not a welcome sight. Hole 10 plays from an elevated tee box, with water along the right. Water comes into play on the next two shots as well, since it cuts across the dogleg-right fairway. If you’re struggling, this is a double-digit hole for sure.

There’s no real break after No. 10, either. The 13th requires a precision short iron to a tiered green. More surprises await as you finish the round, so be prepared. The yard is a fun day of golf.

Getting there : Take I-45 south from Dallas to Ferris, then exit 267 and continue down the access road to the entrance on the right.

Females need not apply.

This is not a female friendly course unless you play from the back tees... I will play here again but will know to expect a horrible score!

Course was over all good condition especially for Texas. Tenth hole is brutal and should have a snowman already on the score card. Many of the holes are blind and hard to read. I recommend a guide if your first time playing or you will end up on 15 vs 5. Bring your own water! Sunday 7:24 tee time and the trash cans were full, water coolers were full from Saturday and no sign of beverage cart.

Great Course Outside of the City

The Old Brickyard is a great challenging course for all levels of players. There are scenic views of downtown Dallas from a couple of tee boxes without the crowds. Undulating fairways and the view from the 10th tee is uncommon in the DFW metroplex. Great food and friendly staff made my one hour commute to this course well worth my time.

Really enjoyed the layout!

Very fun layout! The march Of Death was very challenging and fun. Greens were fast and fun. The pro in the shop was very friendly and provided excellent tips on playing the course. I will definitely play here again.

The course is really run down

They are not cutting the grass in the fairways or rough. The greens are decent, but overall the course is getting no upkeep and the quality is dropping.

Fair course

This course has potential. If they will fix the cart path and take care of the fairways I would drive the 30 minutes I drove to play this course all the time.

Tight little course

A nice short course, but u must have a accurate iron and woods game. The course is not long but very narrow fairways and alot of blind shots it will help to have some course knowledge in your group, the greens were fast and hard they rolled true to your line. A good value if you book on golfnow.

Nice layout.

This is a great course to play with lots of elevation changes. The greens are exceptional for the price. For beginners this course will teach you a brutal lesson on course management. Try and bite off too much and you will more often than not be reaching for another ball out of your bag. For seasoned players the course offers a great experience with the blind tee shots and elevation changes that you rarely get in the DFW area.

Good course for the Money

I played 2 courses this weekend and payed the same amount for each. Lost Creek should be renamed "Lost Green Keeper" while Old Brickyard greens were immaculate and super quick. Lost Creek was a waste of my money while I can't wait to get a group together and head back to Old Brickyard.

Old die but Goldie

Great course in great condition out in no where. Staff was friendly and range was in great shape. Lost a few balls due to tight and challenging fairways. I play here quite a bit and enjoy the challenge. Course play is comfortable, rarely have anyone needing to pass by. Great price for a great place. Worth the drive.

Great Value

Best public greens I've played on. Lots of places to put up some bad scores, but if you can tame this course, you can handle just about anything. Great challenge for the price.

Ok, but slow front 9.

Were behind a tournament that caused the front 9 to play over 3 hours. The back was wide open and after getting thru 2 5somes infront of us, we played the back in 1:45. Front 9 is tough with tight fairways. Overall, the course is a blast. Lot's of elevation changes and lots of wind (I don't know why, but it's always windy out there) makes for some difficult club choices. Make 9 puts water in play, but is a little more open. Greens were firmer than I thought after all of the rain we've gotten. Fairways were in good shape. A few cart paths must have gotten washed out due to floods. If you get a good deal here, definitely recommend making the trip to Ferris.

Great day

Had great day at Old Brickyard. First time to play there and my first full 18 of the year. For all the rain of the last few weeks the course was in excellent condition. Only one major issue where a hill washed down into a fairway. Greens were in great shape and had a lot of movement. Again it was a great day.
