Great family atmosphere
Entire staff is always very cheerful and go out of their way to assist. Excellent learning center for beginning adults and young golfers.
Excellent condition
This is the perfect family course which has never been in better condition. The fairways are lush and full, the greens in excellent condition. The new owners have remodeled the pub making it look and feel like a pub in Europe. The food is outstanding and the staff could not be friendlier.
Cut the grass!
The course looked like it had been abandoned. The fairways, tee boxes, and greens all needed to be cut. The greens were so slow they were unreadable. The fairways were so thick that the ball would sit down in the grass making it hard to strike the ball properly. The tee boxes were covered in some kind of grass that we’re like vines. I played here a few years ago and it was in better shape. For the price I can play at a nicer course.
Loved it
Really enjoyed the course and service was amazing!!
Fun day
Greens-very good
Fairways-mostly good DRY
Tees-ok need some work
Generally a nice course
Interesting Course-Mixed Feelings
Hidden Lakes is an old Florida course. Very flat, fairly wide fairways and a lot of water especially on the back nine. Fairways are in decent shape, a few bare spots. Par 4's for the most part are in the 325 to 335 yard range, Par 3's are 125-170 from the white tees. Greens are relatively small and soft with very thick grass. Few bare spots. Greens were cut fairly high during our visit and with the wet conditions were pretty slow. They are very soft and hold well. I liked the course a lot and shot 38 on the front 9. Only completed 4 holes on the back before the rain ended play completely. My only complaint was with management. We arrived 45 minutes early because of the pending monsoon that was predicted for that afternoon. The first tee was empty and the course had no pre-sold tee times prior to our tee time. The attendant refused to let us go out upon arrival because we had paid a discounted rate on Golf Now and he claimed that the course received little or nothing from our reservation. He said they only sold tee times on Golf Now as a marketing technique to introduce people to the course. We explained that rain was expected, he agreed; however, he wanted us to pay $14.50 in order to tee off early. We refused. Eventually he did allow us to tee off about 15-20 minutes early with no explanation. The course has a very large restaurant with full bar. Food was good, moderately priced.
Did not want to let me play
They had a tournament going on and I was 2 hours delayed in my tee time. At first they were not going to allow me to play, but after an arguement they did. Not very pleasant.
Great little gem
Par 69 but don’t be fooled. Requires straight shots and putting. The bar has great wings and cold beer
Slow Greens. Not too friendly staff
Course in good shape. Tee boxes not so good felt like hitting out of rough. Greens slow and hairy. Played as a single. Had to pair myself at 7am on a Sunday. No starter not a friendly staff.
Pestilent staff
The check in staff was very rood an aggressive nature. Never have I met such personality. It was discouraging especially for an golf outing to end such away. I would not play a course I was not welcomed.
Always solid however...
Hidden Lakes is always a solid choice for value and good pace. I played here over two dozen times, but this time check in staff bumped the tee time up earlier than what was booked on GolfNow and tried to rush us to the tee box. I know it’s busy but please don’t make it my problem that they course is overbooked. After playing 9 the pace of play greatly improved, since the walkers in front of us only played 9. Overall a great time, but apparently get there early.
Horrible
Between the course being a sloppy wet muddy mess and the guys horrible attitude working the pro shop, I will never go back. We arrived 15 minutes before tee time and checked in with the starter and set up. The starter told us that we had to check in the pro shop as well. Which is normal. Walked in the pro shop and the guy asked for our names, told him and he proceed to say “Your supposed to be teeing off right now, get out there...” Repeated so we don’t have to sign in like we were told... “No, just go” Walked out to the starter and he stuck us with two other people. Not the worst thing but we wanted to move faster than what we were since there was only two of us. For someone that golfs 1-2 times a week, I will avoid this course.
Hidden Lakes
Great course.
A bit short with 4 par 3s on the front.
But all are challenging and well bunkered.
Not sure about the name Hidden Lakes.
The lakes weren’t that hidden to me.
I found them easily.
Greens roll well and they obviously fertilize and water frequently.
Good practice and warm up area.
I’ll be back.
We are happy to hear you enjoyed the course. Please come back soon!
Greens were great. Round took too long
Course in good shape. Greens were real nice. Layout fun for a short course. Had a Slow foursome from Boston in front of us. Made the round long for a short course. Staff friendly. Will play here again.
It's great to hear you enjoyed your last visit to the course. We hope you'll be back soon. (Fingers crossed you don't get stuck behind a slow foursome again.)
Hi,
