Country Club of Silver Springs Shores

First time playing here, and was pleasantly surprised. The parking lot was unkept and my first thought was 'don't expect much'. The lady running the Pro Shop got things going in the right direction with friendly service and lots of info, and the Starter was helpful as well. The Fairways were in pretty good shape as were most of the Greens. Some of the Tee Boxes need some attention, but they were serviceable. The Bunkers were in great shape and freshly sanded. Layout was not like any other, glad I play with 2 that play there a lot, helped with understanding some of the blind shots. Cart paths are rough, but I wouldn't let that take away from the rest of the good stuff.

I have played this course throughout the years and have always enjoyed its layout and difficulty. Over the past several years we have stayed away from it because it had started to really go in the toilet. Heard someone say that it was in really good shape so we decided to give it a try. Was pleasantly surprised with the course conditions. We had a very enjoyable day on a challenging golf course. They still have some work to do but I have no problem going back to this course in the hopes that they continue to improve on an already nice golf course. We were told that they brought back the greens keeper from “the old days” and if he keeps up this path then it will return itself to one of the premier courses in Ocala. Looking forward to seeing the course in a couple of weeks!

Fairways were good condition Greens were a bit less

Course in great shape except bunkers were full of water due to recent heavy rains. Greens awesome and true. Pace of play excellent- 3 hour round is hard to beat. New carts a difference maker- and the leveling of the range tees noticeably better. Would like to see an ice machine available before the lounge opens at ten.

The course is not bad but they still need to work on some areas. Greens were Ok but needed to be cut. Course has new carts but cart paths are rough. Good vale for the money and is a challenging course.

This course is now in very good condition. Sloped greens. Nice grass in the fairways. Roughs and cart paths are a big rugged. Lots of water hazards with long carry on some holes. it's a good challenge. As a bonus, we enjoy the wildlife at this course.

I always like playing the country club and dont understand it not getting more play . It is a tough course to finish the 18 you will learn that on the back 18 .... its a fun course very hot day but grass was trim and greens tight and couldn t be treated better in the club house .... Thank staff again as always

CCSSS has had some rough times for a while. They have a new greenskeeper and the course is in the best shape that we have seen in a number of years. It is definitely a good play value.

Course was in good condition. The cart paths need a lot of help. Greens were very good. Plenty of water. Very nice layout. Had a great time.

Nice course to play and practice different shots. Water/ trees make you think about different shots and his to play them.

It had been a year since I last played there, since then nice improvements, greens in good shape, fairways coming along, some improvements to the cart paths are welcomed, and new carts. This course has a great layout that can challenge golfers.

I played this course in the summer of 2017, the confpditions were "rough", if it were not for the challenging layout I would not have returned, I was pleasantly surprised to see very great progress in making this course a very nice place to play, new carts, greens were in great shape, fairways are coming along, cart paths show good improvement. I will be back.

Easy layout but has plenty of water. Course is starting to get run down. Could be a premier course with some maintenance.

very challenging course to play, but at the same tine it invite you to take chance .I really like the layout.be careful on hole 16 and18.

Love this course. Generally not crowded and pace is great.

A great setting for a course, woods, ponds. A good layout with challenging holes. Several holes were a little tricky not knowing proper line off tee. Greens had lots of grass, but a bit grainy. Great value for $25.

Used to be one of the best golf tracts around. No more. Greens still ok. No grass in the fairways. A few sand traps actually have sand in them. The rest are hard dirt.
