Ocala Golf Club

A fun course, with some challenging holes and some elevation changes. Not the longest course I've played, and most holes were forgiving for wayward tee shots. Very receptive, soft, rolling greens.(Rained twice while out on course). But geens rolled true. The fairways drained very quickly with the rain. Shot an 83 after a few weeks off. Looking forward to getting back there again to see if I can lower my 83.

The front nine features 3 Par 3's and 3 Par 5's. Lots of chances for birdies. I was disappointed that the on-course restrooms were closed, and I felt the rough was too long. This made it difficult to find errant shots and slowed pace of play. Greens were excellent and bunkers were full of fluffy sand. I can't wait until the Clubhouse re-opens and they can keep restrooms open. It's difficult to stay hydrated when the only facilities are at the turn.

I didn’t know what to expect playing here for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Really fun course with a cool layout. Well maintained. Greens were a little slow but seemed like they will be rolling really nicely in a week or two. Looking forward to playing here again.

Why did I pay 30.00 to play and the other guy that was a walk on paid 26.00

I am not happy about condition. Fairways were cut up. Very badly and the greens were horrible,,,I am disappointed because nobody said anything about the bad condition of the coarse,,,the guy at the cart booth was rude...we drove 30 miles to play,,passed up several other golf coarsest play Ocala golf club.always in great condition before when we played,you should really let us know when conditions are not good..even the guy at the counter did not tell me anything about how tough the conditions were...just not very happy..karl

Greens had just been punched. Other than that the course was phenomenal.

Right now this course is the nicest course in the area. The condition of the course is incredible. You got to try real hard to have a thin lie. The greens are phenomenal!! There are 2 or 3 greens that have a small bare patch on them but that is being nit picky. The practice area is nicer than some courses around Ocala!!

The only thing I could rate negatively is the staff is a bit rude. Alex in the clubhouse is super nice and accommodating but others are “stand off ish”.

Course is in great condition. Kudos to grounds crew. Greens are holding nicely and roll true. Not real fast but very smooth. Great round except for the Florida showers.

My best friend and I decided to meet halfway to play golf. We chose Ocalla golf club. We had an early tee time at 7:36 AM and was greeted by the friendly staff.

The course was in great shape, tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in good shape. Pace of play was good. I would definitely recommend this course if you’re in the area, got a great deal on Golfnow. If you get a chance to play this course, I would definitely try it out.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, unfortunate that COVID-19 placed restrictions on everyone, number folks in club house, restrooms, eating facilities etc. The course played well, good pace, fairways were in great condition as were the greens. Bunkers were not guessing the rain impacted them, some had weeds, all were hard no lose sand. I would/will play the course again.

Great day for golf, course in good shape...hard to keep score without a pencil...the crazy things we come up with during a pandemic, Just like the foam pieces in the holes...makes ZERO sense.

BUT, course is great and staff is helpful.

Ocalâ golf club does a good job of preparing the course. Employees are friendly. Always nice to play this course.
