Ocala Golf Club

Course has been in excellent shape for the last year and a half. And now even the summer it’s still in great shape. A few greens have a couple spots on them. But isolated and 90% of the putting surfaces are very good

Rough is getting thick and wet in spots

We encountered a huge amount of baby frogs 12-14 around pond

But more amusing than anything else

Very lucky this course is 6 min from home

Upon arrival at course, notified that only back 9 available......had to play it twice...

As usual the course was in very good shape and the greens fairly fast. Being a Muni the pace of play could have been better, but there was some event going on and we saw some fivesomes on the course. This course is always in good shape and provides a great day of golf, and that's why we keep on coming back time and again.

I have played this course a number of times. This the best shape I have ever seen it in. Friendliest staff of any club around.

A little disappointed in the consistency of the greens and the fairways are in between grasses so somewhat barren

Ocala golf club or ‘muni’ as locals call it is never a disappointment. You can usually play here for under $30 if you play after 11am and it’s pretty much the best bang for your buck. There are courses in Ocala in better condition but you pay for it. If I want to play a course with fairways and greens always in great condition and don’t want to spend $50 I always go with muni.

This course offers challenges for all levels of golfers. The course is in good condition and the staff is always friendly. A restaurant is available with good food. Always a great value to play this public course.

All of the staff were fun and welcoming - the starter was exceptional. The greens were very well maintained and challenging with lots of undulation. The layout was diverse with some magnificent large oak trees. The couse, though, was not as scenic as some of other courses we have played while vacationing in Florida such as Juliette Falls, Southern Hills Plantation, World Woods and Twisted Oaks.

Although we were made very welcome, the golf course did not appeal to my partner and I, and the pace of play on Sunday afternoon was abysmal.

Good course to walk little bit of elevation not much trouble to get into little bit a water otherwise open

All tees, fairways and greens were in very good condition. A great historic course that has been a wonderfully conditioned challenge for many years.

course was very nice , yardage maker were hard to find ,this was our first time there but we plan to play it again

Course in excellent condition. A little crowded (kind of expect it on a perfect sunny 73 degree day day after Christmas day) but pace was still good. The course has enough challenges to keep most golfers interested in every shot. Greens undulating so positioning on the green important. Greens at medium speed so hackers wont be humiliated. Great staff, welcoming and helpful.
